Thanks for he pics and the links. Does look nice and I wish we had the auto headlights and variable int wipers too.

The front end actually looks pretty long already... Wonder if they'd really need to do much to make it up to NA safety standards. From the windshield to bumper seems a lot longer than the jdm GE was.

^^^The auto headlights & smart key were options on the a few versions of the JDM GE8, but ofcourse left out in our NA versions.

I got the var. int wiper mod done on my GE8 (but it only works for MT's unless some one can figure out the full wiring/what wire's missing in the auto's).

Looks like the new Fit has intermittent rear wiper too? It's not variable is it?

Thanks for the pics! Looks good.

So I was looking around the Honda Japan website and stumbled across a more in depth test drive of the new RS 6MT. I ended up ripping the video, flipped it (So that the driver is now on the left side) and now we have a preview of what the new Fit would look/feel like here in the US! Here is the YouTube link…

I like the new interior, there seems to be a lot more options that you can do to it than the GE8. I was also browsing through the Honda access jp site and it seems they're going crazy with the led thing hahaha

Thanks for the interior shots OP!

I wouldn't worry about the lifter noise, we've all noticed that and it's most likely due to the location of the engine in relation to the engine bay

the new fit runs direct injection, so some insane amount of fuel pressure (similar to diesels) Im quite sure its the injectors but they are annoyingly loud.

with the windows up and driving you cant hear them at all, but with windows down and driving past a near by wall the sound reflects off the wall and you can hear it very easily. For a car that feels/is new and most things seeming quite high quality the ugly ticking noise is extra annoying for me.

Is the rear suspension a solid beam like GD and GE or can you actually adjust the camber? I know US and Japan will be different just curious. Rear disc brakes? I would think so since it's an RS?

So anyone confirm what chassis this is? GF?

I think the GF is the fit shuttle?

the hybrid is classed as GP and the gasoline cars are classed as GK

all cars are solid beam rear, drum brake, RS is only one with disk brake rear.

Thanks for video, and nice job flipping the gauge cluster back around lol.

They kinda did go crazy with the interior led lighting. I'll probably copy some of it lol..

a pic from the honda site to show the difference of the Hybrid dash, cant really tell just how good this dash is from this pic.

*quite sure Nippon Seiki (defi) did this one, also quite sure the gasoline cars are not from Nippon seiki.

We could only test drive a hybrid and the misses loved the dash and was almost a deal breaker when we found out the RS got a very ordinary looking dash in comparison.

I love the RS in the middle of the speedometer. That looks real nice. A lot of nice things the JDM version gets. If I ever end up with a 2014 I'll be converting it straight JDM.

cabin noise on the free way is pretty good, although the cars Im used to are really bad so not sure if Im a good judge for that.

the CVT in the RS is only 2000rpm at 100kph or ~2400rpm at 120kph so seems to sit the revs right down for cruising.

Cabin noise, who cares. haha. That's what the radio is for. But yeah on a serious note, I do notice a little bit of cabin noise in my GD3. By the sounds of the OP, it appears its gotten better which is nice. Maybe a sub and some new speakers will eliminate the noise altogether. lol.
