BC you're still looking at a 2-3 month wait, and last I heard we get 80-100 a month as a province.

Funny story, I got a call today from my dealer saying, "we had a cancellation of an order so you can have the car!". 15 minutes later I got a voicemail saying, "uh, there might be a problem with the car". Turns out the original orderer changed his/her mind and wants it now.

But the good news is, they're giving me the next one they get, which will be mid-September!

Lots of automatic Fits in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was told the same interchangable transmission story, making stardards hard to come by.

I have a feeling that those people were refering to CAD$ where as you might be thinking in terms of US$, since my car (Sport M/T) came at CAD$23,9XX.XX after tax. Noting that this price is CAD$500 lower than another dealer that I almost committed to.

I just got my car today and my dealer said that each dealership (10 total) in Greater Vancouver gets 5 cars per month, so there's definitely a shortage in the West Coast. This leads me to highly doubt that the Fits parked in Ottowa are not already owned, or they would probably send some this way.

I know Carter Honda got at least 8 in June, and since allocation is done by volume, it seems likely. Somebody working at Richmond Honda posted that they get 60 a month back in May/June because they are the highest volume dealership in BC

Yeah, not as bad but that's still around $21,000 US$.
