Calculated MPG different from dash reading...
I think it's because I've been driving exclusively around town and sitting in traffic a lot due to bad weather. So far the Fit gets about the same mileage as my 08 Auto Civic. I expect mileage will improve over time. I'll need to check the air filter too.
City mileage (stop n go) really don't give a good indication of your actual mileage. There are just too many variables. Take a long road trip to see if your engine is performing as it should. My commute is almost entirely highway and around 90 miles/day. Summer time at ~70MPH gets me close to 40MPG. I added a roof rack and it seemed to have taken off 2MPG. Winter gas means 5-10% hit for me, so currently, I'm at 35MPG.
OBC MPG figures can be all over the place. From the past cars I've had, I don't think any of them have been that accurate. I would just go off of the manual method or just use the OBC. As long as you're getting consistent mileage, there should be no worry.
