This is just getting rediculous...

"Used" is a legal status of car registration. I bought a new Camry once that had well over 5000 miles and have seen used cars with well under this.

Page 12 of your own state's registration manaul shows this is even true for a dealer, if they register the car (obtain title) then it can only be transfered as used:

If what I think does not matter, then you should not have even wasted your time responding to my post. The fact you posted a responce to what you call a 'non-issue' is a clear sign to all of us that you are not too bright.

I had 5 miles on my Fit upon delivery to me. I got my Sentra when it had 200+ miles new because at the time, the B15 model Sentra was brand new and the SE with performance package was even more unique. The fact that I got a B15 Sentra SE with a performance package in white in itself was a miracle. The dealer in Virginia had to get someone to drive the car from North Carolina for me to get the car. I got the car at a great price, but I didn't complain!

Trust me, I have high standards. However, common sense prevails when getting a new car with a huge demand and not enough supply. You have to ask yourself if you "need" the Fit. Second, are you willing to pass and wait till whenever they decide to get exact Fit you want. I missed my opportunity to grab my silver Fit because I was slow. I didn't pass on this VBP. In the end, as long as your happy with your decision, then so be it. I would have not personally waited.

Hmm, I never called this a "non issue" and I am bright enough to at least know title law (and the names of at least half my kids at any given time).

I sense a troll here folks!

Was this for North America or just US? If it was just US, I don't remember seeing any figures seperating the two countries.
Honda Canada and Honda USA sales figures have always been kept seperated.

No idea if that 50k to 42k units was for just the USA or Canada and USA.

We need a new troll filter. Whatever happened to all the good trolls with wit and some memory?

I have a pool skimmer here that would work....

Honestly, I would think that proof of ownership for a Fit would be required for membership here. I have been a member of several car owners clubs in two different countires and an official in two.

But here, I show my age, I fear the net has killed such "owners clubs" and the days of meetings and paper newsletters...... Now, with the comfort of the Net, you can be a troll without recourse.

But we had our trolls back then, but you got to see them firsthand. About fifteen years ago, the best was two guys about in a physical fight over Citroen CX Pallas interior options, the funny thing, they were both right, they forgot the difference between French and UK market cars....made for a good laugh.

[QUOTE=Spule 4]. . . Honestly, I would think that proof of ownership for a Fit would be required for membership here.

NO WAY!!!!!
This website has preserved the sanity of the many patient folks who are waiting months and months for their Fits to arrive, and for many others who want to learn more about the car before deciding to take a number and stand in the long line.

It is as much a support group as an info resource.

Spule 4, I trust you didn't really mean this, right?

On the other hand, it is truly stunning how many of these threads start out innocently enough only to degrade into utterly juvenile primitive arguments with absolutely no substance, promulgated by frustrated keyboard pounders who seem to have nothing better to do than snipe at each other sight-unseen and true identity-unknown. I can only guess that this hot-headed frustration come from testosterone overload, sorry you're struggling with that, guys.

Rather than a requirement of ownership to participate, how about just exercising common courtesy. We would all benefit from that.
