25MPG in Brooklyn
25MPG in Brooklyn
Hey guys!
Just curious after reading many, many threads on this topic...
I can't seem to break into 26MPG on my Fit MT here in Brooklyn, NY. Currently sitting at 25.6.
Does that sound low, or about right?
Thanks for your help!

It's low, and about right. You're just not going to get really good mileage in the city, so the best you can do is get really good city mileage. I think you're doing that. When things get warmer you'll probably see better numbers, but not by much.
It's a good city car- enjoy the peppiness, maneuverability and ease of parking, and think of how much worse your mileage would be in something else.

I agree with all of this. I regularly drive on a road with lots of intense stop-and-go traffic. During rush hour, on a cold day, 18 MPG can happen on my new Fit. Evenings after rush hour, I can get 38 MPG on the same stretch of road. On highways so far I'm seeing around 43ish. (Not a lot of highway driving.) Overall my average MPG is about 26.
