Junk yard gruesome discoveries, rant and request for inspection
This mainly applies to the 2007-2008 models, but may affect later models as well, so this is why I post this in here.
I urging all owners, especially those, who are living in sun belt and not so lucky to park in the garage, to check the windshield wiper transmission assembly, especially plastic parts (images below are for example only)
It looks like this material is deteriorating, cracking and can fail without notice.
Please get into the dark area and inspect these parts by looking trough the round holes in the cowl panel while aiming the flash light beam into one of the holes.
Cardone makes replacement assembly (motor not included), however one purchaser said that the sweeping range of the wiper arms is smaller than it used to be.
I will take some photos with my phone next time I'll visit the yard. It sad to say that modern cars are more time-sensitive than these build 25 years ago! (some exception apply 0:0)

not just that, but there are many parts on the car that will deteriorate after 10yrs, and considered normal wear and tear.
only a few want to keep normal cars past 10yrs anyway.. after the 10th year good luck finding oem parts too.. dat was the main reason i sold a 12 old car in immaculate condition.. started seeing parts deteriorate and there were no more factory parts to replace available.. even wiper inserts were gone! wtf. sold it, bought a brand new car to replace.

Did not see this on any of my older cars, especially, 87 Camry which I retired at 2014.
It had no blind spots, solid radio without fading display and accurate clock. I was also very easy to work on (no need to tear apart entire front end to replace radiator or removing intake to replace an alternator) Aside from stupid motorized seat belts it was a great and durable car. Wrecking yard was my number one parts source!

I drove my 1995 Infiniti G-20 for 15 years, past 100,000 miles, always parked outside, driven through snow and road salt, and on beat up NYC streets. And nothing deteriorated except the sun visor wouldn't stay up.
Lots of cars on the road are way more than 10 years old.
