Pondering purchase - 6MT or CVT?

Paddle shifters on CVT transmissions always made me laugh. It's the car "simulating" a gear change by dropping engine RPM, not changing cogs around. Only thing a CVT has going for it is lower highway RPM but a normal automatic transmission will do the same and be much less annoying. I'd say manual, but its just an opinion.

CVTs aren't as bad ppl think.. and especially when it comes to low-hp cars, it shouldn't break that easily either..

and if you have bumper-2-bumper traffic and/or huge highway miles, then CVT is the only option..
