I'm unfortunately not too car savvy, but I've got a good friend that is. What would everyone recommend for a not too intensive modder looking for the best bang for his buck?

'10 Fit Sport. Also considering doing sound insulation project when Spring rolls around.

 

Is your car a daily driver or are you planning to track with it?

for a daily i would say both front and rear strut bars and front tie brace, if you wanna spend it go ahead with the rear sway as well. Personally i am planning on a solid bar for the rear sway because i feel that the separated design of the TT rear sway defeats the purpose.

for a track car, i would get the same and add in the ladder brace. the reason i wouldn't get the ladder for a dd is that you need to remove the plastic covering from under the gas tank to make it fit and i would be worried about accidentally driving over debris on the road.
