I think it's only fair that if someone takes the time to rep you, you should return the favor.

If I received back the amount of rep I hand out, wow.

Hey there FractalJackal
thanks for the info. I too have look this stuff up on the net on a number of occasions...but unfortunately none have quite fit the bill from my observatios....but it has definately helped.

so I will add in red into your quote to show what I have observed
.......VVVVVVVV

· Enable User Reputation system - this option is set to yes. seems right
· Default Reputation - this is probably 0 so we start with no rep. seems right
· Number of Reputation Levels to Display - I don't know on this one as I have 0 rep, but based off SnapFits reports it is set low, so you can't see much of your "rep history". seems right...only one at a time (the newest one, and maybe they go away after a while too)
· Administrator's Reputation Power - Not sure on this one, but I think bassed off one of the posts here that admins have mush higher Rep weighting. FaceYogurt has 10 visible reps (he be an Admin) who knows what that proves though (I even repped him....haahaa)
· Register Date Factor - Another unknown, though I believe it is safe to assume that older users have more rep weighting. It seems that after one year you get a rep (but I cant find the paper of my observations on that one...ooops... )
· Post Count Factor - Another unknown, but once again more posts probably equates to more rep weight. you get an auto rep after 1000 posts, and it does not seem to affect your invisible reps
· Reputation Point Factor - We have concluded that this affects rep weight through observations on this thread, although with the further information on other factors to rep weighting this could be incorrect. not entirely sure as my first finding was inconclusive...but this next one isnt (cant post till I have gather more info...sorry)
· Minimum Post Count - I personally gave out rep at under 3 posts, so I am fairly certain there is no minimum post count. but does that mean it showed up...it might be enabled but not counted. I recieved one recently supposedly from someone who was in low rep count and it didnt even show up on my invisibles or that they ever even repped me.... haahaa j/k idunno....
· Minimum Reputation Count - I have no rep, so once again there is no minimum rep count. seems right unless you mean negative count
· Daily Reputation Clicks Limit - I am uncertain on this one, a quick pass through this thread repping everyone would quickly tell you how many people you are allowed to rep per day though. I actually dont think we have a daily limit if its for diff people....idunno for sure...
· Reputation User Spread - This is set to at least two users...in other words to rep someone I must rep two other people before I am allowe dto rep that user again. I have been unable to rep the same person since I have become a member, I have left numerous reps (spread the love so to speak...but to no avail)

Hope this helps.
by chance does anybody know if the person who docks(-) you a rep shows up at the bottom just like if they repped(+) you???

Oh and I repped you (FractalJackal) for some good detective work , and providing a better format for observation.

so you are no longer a grey tick tack and you have become a bright toxic waste green tick tack....

so Make sure to tell us how many invisibles you have now
I dont want to seem pushy or to pry, so only if you would like....but it would be helpful .....
no pressure

Thanks for the rep Snap, your solitary rep (the only one I have recieved so far) gave me two rep points if that helps your research at all. Two thoughts regarding your observations, good catch on the neg rep/minnimum rep possibility, and whenever I used the term rep weight or rep weighting, I meant that the person giving rep would give more rep based on that particular factor. For example, rep weighting for you vs. me, if we both rep the same person, I think you will give them more points due to the following factors, 1 your current rep (higher than mine), 2 your post count (higher than mine), 3 your join date (earlier than mine). Hence if I give rep, the recipient recieves 1 rep point, where as if you give rep, the recipient racks up a walloping 2 points. If we throw Mr. Tool into the equation I believe he would give out more rep than you based on all the previously mentioned factors AND based on his status as a forum mod. So Tool = 3...or more. I will start a rep log and see what I can come up with...now if I ever manage to have an idea that is bright enough to be rep worthy we are in business.

There is also the possibility of fractional rep... I wonder if that rep you mentioned before gave you a partial rep point...

Haha. Heres a funny thing i just ran across. Apparently you can only rep 10 people in 24 hours. I was trying to give one to snap fit and it kept saying i had to spread the wealth so i gave out 9 and it still said i had to spread the wealth. In other words you have to rep 10 people before you rep the same person again. Maybe there is also a time limit before reppin someone again. Not sure on that one. I gave everyone but Tool and Snap fit cause it wouldnt let me. Sorry guys. Maybe in 24 hours when i can rep again. Damn this gets more confusing by the day

It doesnt make any sense i havent repped you in awhile but it kept saying i had to spread more around before reppin you again. It was the same with Snap Fit. I will see if it still says it tomorrow when i can rep again. I cant beleive i maxed out on reps. Thats funny. lol
