How do I kill the remote entry alarm sound?

I just bought a 2000 Honda Accord LX and it has an alarm system
installed. The sticker in the window says Phantom Footprints. I've been
to their website (http://www.phantomfootprints.com/) but couldn't find
a manual. I've also emailed tech. support and am awaiting an answer.

I heard from a friend that some alarm systems have something you can do
with the remote entry (hold down some key while pressing another) to
silence the door sounds. I'd like to keep the alarm, but get rid of
that annoying sound each time I lock and unlock the doors with the
remote entry (it doesn't make this sound when I lock and unlock the car
door with the key...obviously).

1) How do I disable the door locking/unlocking sound?
2) Where can I find a manual for this product?
3) What kind of protections does this system offer? Does it just make a
sound if someone breaks open the door? Will it keep the car from
starting, etc.?

Though the words on the buttons are worn away, I can read them if I
tilt it so the light hits it just right. There are three buttons on
this remote entry: The first button says "Arm"; The second button says
"Disarm/Trunk", and the third, red button says "Panic". I get the Arm,
Disarm, and Panic buttons, but haven't been able to figure out how to
get the trunk to pop. I tried holding down the Disarm key or even
pressing it twice but that didn't do it.

4) How do I get the trunk to pop with the remote entry?
