Simple Evo X
The Dom 2 is alright. The spool up is only about 500-600 rpms slower than stock...if that, so it's not incredibly noticeable. It's a good road race/track turbo but not really suited for the street in my opinion, especially for those people that just want big numbers and go fast in a straight line. It depends a lot on how you tune it too I guess but the turbo itself just isn't that big. I'm thinking of swapping mine out for a Tomei unit in the near future.
There's actually one e85 pump that's pretty close to me but the rest are about 50 miles away, unfortunately. :(
I've dynoed on a few different dynos before and the number I usually go with is the Mustang Dyno since it reads the lowest. When I dyno on DYNOmite or Dynojet, I see a 10-15% increase in numbers but I usually just try to go with before and after numbers since that's all that matters anyways. I care more about how the graph reads than the actual number at the end.
And yes...Evo's are for cheaters, haha. :D I think any stock boosted car falls under that category.

i hear you about the before and after. still, some dynos are particularly generous and most people aren't aware that 500whp on a low reading dyno is a different thing than 500whp at something like a dynapack (generalization).
i love e85, personally. cheapest race gas, fantastic low end power.
haha. evos are for cheaters.
+1 Billion on the surging issues. The first time I had it tuned, I would surge like crazy in 4th-5th gear past 5k rev. After some correct tuning though, the issue was fixed and now I can redline it fine without fear of destroying my turbo.
I love Tomei products since I've always had excellent experiences with them but I hear what you're saying about american vendors. Some people are die-hard one way or the other about specific companies or products but I always just say, 'Go with what you're happy and comfortable with'. After all, you're modding the car for yourself. :) An american company I freaking love though is AMS. They know their shit inside and out...I have a lot of respect for that company.
Did you or do you have an Evo or STi? Sounds like you have some first-hand experience with the cars.

Lets see some pics of your e85 machine, make a thread!
Yea, I did a few dyno pulls on e85. Makes a shit ton more power...everywhere, lol. If I had closer stations, I'd probably run it more often but it's too much of a hassle as is. :(
