super modded cars are modded to look like personal spacecrafts so that's why they all look the same. it needs to look like it's going to orbit earth.

im only into lightly modded street cars. :D

I understand what you're saying. When I bought my Harley at 33 years of age....my object was to make it as loud and obnoxious as possible. But it got old....real old....real fast! I then went and test drove a stock Triumph and it was pure pleasure. Imagine being able to talk to somebody while the bike idles -unbelievable! I still have the Harley but have quieted her down quite a bit.

It's just nice to have a vehicle be the way it was intended - which is why I plan on leaving my Fit stock.

Whenever I see a riced out car, it's usually Mexicans driving it. I have a friend that owns one of these cars and they're really into it! My friend drives a 2007 Sentra with 20 inch chrome rims, her windows are limo tinted, big ass sticker that says "Royalty" on the rear window, individual SENTRA letters in fake crystal, and a fake exhaust.

I guess since I live in SOcal, like 2 exits away from the border, this is typical. Not hating on Mexicans at all. I guess we all like different things eh.

Well I have an idea for a way to make your car look different and its something I haven't seen on our forum....yet. Check out the flat, spun aluminum wheel covers that the Bonneville Salt Flat racers used on their cars. If I find some 16" steelies that fit the Fit, I'm going to go this route. Its so simple its stupid, but yet very cool and no, I don't think its trying to make a new car look old, but rather look at it like this, what was old is new again. Heck, even add some white walls into the mix with em' if you want, there, I've given my idea away....RUN WITH IT!

The past is cool again....IMO

JC Whitney has them for about $100 a set and they've got em' in various sizes too. Imagine how easy they are to clean too, nothing wrong with that. Its like they're old school, but don't they look futuristic at the same time on a new car like the Volt!?

I like the 20" chrome emblems and its running the stockers on it...in the spring/summer time still. If you can't afford the new tires for the horrible lookin' wheels, remove the PepBoys bling.....PLEASE!

....and another thing, the portholes....on the fenders.....fender arches....around them to show how the wheelwell is shaped, I don't know and don't get it. I know this, I wished I owned the company that makes them though because my ride would look the coolest and believe me, it wouldn't have my products on them!

I haven't seen the blacked out headlights in years. I think a lot of the ricey stuff was a real fad 10 years ago, and has mostly died out... or rather, has died out on the west coast. I rarely see flamboyandly modded cars here. On a recent business trip to Georgia though... wow!

Oh I'm sorry hahaha! I'm probably not as updated as I used to be. The last time I saw Benson's Sileighty it was still dark purple/black...to be fair that was almost 8-9 years ago in a magazine. :P
