Goes on sale early next year

Honda has released the first pictures of the 2014 Civic Tourer, ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Previewed by a similarly named concept earlier this year, the production model has a familiar front fascia with angular headlights and LED daytime running lights. We can also see bulging fenders, a "floating roof" and wraparound taillights.
The cabin carries over from the standard model but it now boasts class-leading interior room and the ability to hold up to 1668 liters (58.9 cubic feet) of luggage. The wagon has also been equipped with rear "Magic Seats" that fold down in one easy motion.
Under the hood two engines are available. Specifications were not released but the 1.6 i-DTEC will likely produce 120 HP (88 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. The 1.8 i-VTEC, on the other hand, should develop 142 HP (104 kW) and 174 Nm (128 lb-ft) of torque.
The Civic Tourer will be built in the United Kingdom and European sales are scheduled to begin early next year.

Well at least it'll have a stick shift. Looks like the Fit will have a middle brother, as long as they keep making the Accord Crosstour, and TSX Wagon.

 

As usual , Europe gets all the good stuff. I would consider that as a replacement for the Fit, if it were available in the US.

 

The dashboard looks like somewhat straight out of a cockpit of a jet plane..futuristic and stunningly beautiful..the exterior is incredible as well..great car to look out for in the preceding years.

 

Funny how the Civic in the UK gets the Magic seats like the Fit.
