Spent a little time cleaning under the hood. It's getting about time for a car show, :D

 

Wow whats that weird thing on the left with the big blue wires coming out of it? LOL Kidding that looks clean..

 

It's a distributor cap and rotor, for those that were wondering. And a common point of problems for this motor.

 

 

Just a little nip and tuck. When I bought "big bird" the wing was rough, so it's time for a dip in the color bath.

 

I still have an OEM wing. I was going to harvest the LED brake light from it, and graft it just inside, under the rear roof, so that it would be a high mounted third brake light.

 

Thanks it's a great car. It's almost 118k but still drives great. Tomorrow's big thing is to get the summer shoes fitted.
And the thing with the blue wires is a spot to make it go faster :-)

 

Base coat
As most know that know me I try very hard to get the most out of the least.
As with the base coat, the paint store PPG wanted 27.00 for a pint and when reduced makes around 14 oz. Of paint. 2 coats min. for coverage and the cost of the reducer fish eye eliminator, ect and the price is high in my eyes.
So color match Rust-Oleum sunny yellow what ever, and it's really close. So for 3.87 I'm all in, lol. And here it is; tomorrow I'll bolt it back on for a final test, stay tuned, same bat time, same bat station. :D
