The low beams are a bit better, with the new bulbs. But not a jaw dropper, but it all adds up at the end. Easy it took 3-5 minutes, and yes i use nitrate gloves to make sure didn't get fp on them.:^)

haha...i want to say i wish i could leave a car stock. but then i realize why would i do that. everyone else in the world is driving a stock car. when i got my GE last spring, i thought that maybe i would just leave it stock since it was so damn clean.
then i thought, ill just update the bulbs.
then it was, ok ill just get some lowering springs.
....
...it never ends!
i modify things that need no modification. sometimes i think i can make something better and ruin it.lol

At the end of the day, for us do it yourselfers, theres no reason to settle for cookie cutter boring!

that paint is pretty cool. I miss towhooks. i miss the 90's imports before the fast and the furious ruined everything!

 

Ditto, all I do is think about is "what if" from inside, outside, paint, fabrics, emblems, lordy lord its bad it's so good, lol!

Its an Ebay item, came with black lettering.

#2 fine tip brush, then used a toothpick to clean off the paint from the chrome. Its a good weight and looks pretty nice.

 

I do this on major and not so major jobs...
Finding out what it would cost if I brought it to "a specialist ".
Today it was a minor job, replacing the suspension on Black Beauty. Now i have all the parts, so this is all a labor and specialized equipment cost like, tire machine/ balancer and 4 wheel alinment machine.
one day labor. Shoot if I can do it in a day then the shop should be able to crush that time.

Now I'm not in my prime anymore but for that much payout for a days work, well I'm in the wrong business, lol.

A major job was the red hatch.
I asked a reputable painter what he would charge to paint the EG and it started at 3k I supply the paint. Don't think I could have gotten 9k for that car, again, lol.
So remember what you know is a high asset, I don't make 200.00 per hour to pay somebody else. lol. wouldn't that be nice though?

 

1973 Australian Charger/ Valiant

With the highly coveted 340 4 speed

 

Fronts went in with no problems But the dreaded lca strut bolts were seized up on the rear of the car.

so new lca's and bolts are on the way. : ^ )

 

OEM so all the ABS bolts up , sway bar.

 

Temp started going up and down this morning so...
Changed out the thermostat and flushed the motor, heater, and radiator end of problem.

New upper hoses.

 

Ol School stance hi in the rear low up front.

new lca coming tomorrow, installation Friday, then 4 wheel alinment with a little negative camber. And that is the biggest t&m exp. for this car.
I'm liking the stance, but thats because I'm from the 70's.
