I set the oven at 175 degrees f. Leave the little screw in. Wait 30-45 minutes when i take it out i remove the screw that lets me know if they're heated enough, if the screw backs out easily then i can start with the bottom edge. There's raised catches on the lens that snaps into the black housing. I use a butter knife and "gently" go under the lens and lift up on the housing then pry the housing and the lens apart just a little at a time. After the bottom is free i just ssslowly seperate the two from eachother. &
if i know Honda they probably are still doing it the same way.

Now don't get in a rush! Turn the heat to 175f and do not put the lens on when reheating to seal unit back!!

experience is always the best teacher......

Tomorrow morning they'll be back in

Update 2/27/19:
steady rain this afternoon. No leaks that I can see. No drops in the tailights themselves.

Nice. I had a 1992 civic hatchback and i bought a GSR motor and seats and rear disk brakes from a donor GSR.
Rebuilt the engine twice. Once high compression and second time around low compression for turbo.
That thing was fun and very fast for a small civic. Good work!

Have decided on a new mani from the dealer. The spare is for a LS. And now the front of the block is clear its a good time to see if those little steam cleaners will clean up an engine block! More on that soon.
Just want to say hello and thanks to everyone stopping by and seeing how the gsr is coming along.
