Hey J, Got any pics with the 225 RS3...

I really want to use that set-up for my front since that is the max tire size I can use in SCCA ST Class, I would have to use a 15x7.5 or 16x7.5 to stay legal. But wonder how they fit in the FIT

Waiting on a deal to go through right now so I get them almost for an even trade. My fellow road racing friend just got a miata and wants my 6ul 15x8s and tires. so im selling him 2 of them and all 4 tires so i can get my newest setup going. gonna be pretty nice! Just hope I can control the rear end haha

Yeah those are my thoughts !!

Did you end up going up on the spring rates or not?

I drive my 6k f / 6k r everyday... and that to me is pretty borderline. I would like to swap up to the 8k in the front but my daily drive through sheety streets wont have it :/

One day the Fit will be car two.. and that wont be a problem.

I am currently in the process of getting Swift to make me some rear springs. its weird because in the rear we cant run traditional straight coilover springs so one end has to fit in your oem perch boot while the other end can be traditionally straight. Im getting 13k front, 16K rear. I daily on 12k front, 10k rear, its not soo bad. but skunk2 springs blow lol well really everyones but swift and hyperco as far as my research goes haha. swift really sold me. go check out their videos OMG and their FAQ page.

I don't understand how a spring can suck? I mean I understand spring rates might not be the best... but to say a spring sucks?

Based off what? And how are swift or hyperco spring any different? Sorry the engineer in me can't keep quiet sometimes.

I think he means that the spring rate of the Swift springs doesn't increase but a fraction of what other springs do when compressed.. They are able to have more travel and don't require as much rebound dampening so are able to to maintain contact with the road surface better than conventional springs...

Exactly! Plus with swift (a 100% true linear spring) you actually get lower tire heat because your tire does not skip across the road. Making psi adjusting way easier, less variations. Most aftermarket springs shoot sky high in spring rate under compression yet they are called linear? Swift garentees a maximum of 2% change. Also less coils so less weight. Also they are designed to Not bind under compression.

it can actually be quite hard to find great springs... for a suspension, maybe the differences are'nt as noticeable but in a CVT where your springs are compressed to they're absolute maximum most of the time, it can be critical!

that's prtty cool they gave you such a nice banner with their parts! (genuine jdm ftw!) you're totally not a poser since u actually use their parts and one of the few fit owners in the US that actually pushes the limits of your car legally on the track!

Swift springs are pretty awesome, I have to agree! Anyway i can bribe you to comeout to Socal for any of our track events? I'd seriously love to see track-prepped gd3 down here...

o yea, accordguyintake is running 6ul 15x9 with 225 rs3 with no issues for daily rite now, i heard

hey thanks man! actually me and my fellow track rat buddies have been thinking about going to leguna seca (spelling*) maybe this summer. last summer we trailored to Joliet, IL for Autobahn country club. we really like to turn our summer vacations into track days haha. so we might go. kinda pushing for this K swap to get done and this makes money tight.

this is great news about the 15 x 9s. did he have to use any spacers? pics? ^_^

thanks again man!

Gives you a little bit better view of the cage from the inside.

if you comeout, i'll hook yu up with some wheels and tires and a 5gallon drum 2 burn on the track!?!?!!??!
