JCrim's Road Racing Thread - Stay Tuned!
Always wrap the roll cage with at least 1 inch thick proper padding anyplace you can possibly contact it. Thats any part: hands, feert, arms, helmet, etc. ESPECIALLY HELMET.
Make no mistake, a helmet will NOT protect you from a high G impact that can easily happen with unwrapped bars. As far as your helmet it concerned it received a point impact with a very hard immoveable surface approaching you at high velocity. They don't come any worse than that. Think of it as banging your head on a curb. The least you can expect is a concussion.
haha sorry man!!! good news, just got paid. and all my bills for the rest of the month are paid. got 2 more pay checks coming before the 1st. right now got 1500 of untied/ play money. for sure, more greater pics will come

sucks trying to figure out what k swap parts to buy now. I have to use some of this money on the hankook ventus rs3 but NO ONE has them in stock! those fcukers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! helps!
You may find 205/50x15 Yoko 008's readily available and in tests at tirerack (perhaps also GRM for better tests) the Yokos are better than the Direzza stars. All of course are pricey as expected. and to be honest the 205's are much better for a Fit to autox tho the 195/50x15's still appear best if available.
good luck.
good luck.

But last year about 7 of the TOP 10 ST Class guys were running toyos so I'm gonna go with Toyo R1R's those tires are close to the same quality as the RS3 and available now!! and you can get them in a bunch of 15" sizes if you want to run a staggered setup... Im gonna go 225/45-15 front and 205/50-15 rears... GOOD LUCK!
And really excited to see a GD3 in Honda Tuning Mag. !! you deserve it with all the work you have done!!
Dude I'm having the same problem now too... I wanted 225/45-15's for my auto x set-up but can't find them in stock even tirerack says they have them in backorder for +60days !!!

haha thanks man. but i was thinking the Ra1s would still be a bit over the top for a street car
ill do some research. and the tire sizes is exactly what i want to go with! thanks for the support and post man!
PROXES R1R Extreme Performance Summer Tires | Toyo Tires
Not to be confused with the RA1 or R888 which are DOT Racing Tires with treadwear in the 40-80 range:
PROXES RA1 | Toyo Tires
Just some food for thought...
Sorry again about the unexpected during the spirited ride along. Hahah SNAP OVERSTEER!!!

So I need tires for my 15 x 9s. . . I really want the Hankook RS3 but theres a nation wide outage.. lol and NO ETA on when more will come. even rumors that they will no longer be made. So I need some votes.
Please remember that I DO still DD this car for now.
I want some 205/50s for my two rear wheels (15 x 8) and some 225/45 for my fronts (15 X9).
So I've been pricing other tires ...
I can get some Nitto NT01 for $575 in both sizes, all 4 tires I need, shipped to my door. But I'm scared about DD some entry level R compounds.. and especially with no tire rotation..
I could get some Toyo R1Rs, old compound that now-a-day 180 tread rating tires can out preform. Would be about $500 to my door.
or... Just wait for the RS3s to come around... if ever..
ADVISE!

Hey Joe, My old man tires are holding up very well for me... Find some decent touring tires that are not unidirectional and can be swapped side to side for daily driving.. You can rotate them every time you have to re install them after being on the track and they will last a long time... They aren't going to feel anything like your track tires and that is a plus in that you will have to be on your toes more when on the street and the smoother ride and reduced weight will prolong the life of your drive train, steering and suspension components....

it doesn't matter if they are unidirectional, that's just for "in the wet". Any tire can be spun either way in the dry.
haha about the "Prolonging the life of drive train." I see what you are getting at here
hahaand man, sticky tires are like meth. Once you experience it, you tend to use more, stronger amounts, and can never go back to the norm.
and plus, using R comps is like CHEAT CODES. OMG. it is unbelievable how much it changes grip and how much damn speed you can take corners at. Miata's can stay flat footed at texas world speedway on like 70% of all the turns. Approaching them you are like "there is no F n way that I don't need to brake, impossible." But they do it and it sticks like ELMER'S!
and sense I just got solo'd, im now allowed/qualified to run R comps. Never did before /excited /NERVOUS!
