Is it really that bad? The reviews I've seen are pretty good actually for an above par all season tire. Have u actually driven with these?

I've had 2 sets.

They're loud. They have poor wet and dry weather grip. They killed my mpg.

Just a bad tyre man.

For reference I had a set on my Galant (lowered on Tein springs) and my 91 Civic Si (lowered on J's Racing N1 coilovers)

What would you suggest in the same price range (these were 77per tire) for a 205/55/15 <--that's the tricky part. And i don't want a summer tire, definitely all season.

I dont want to thread jack Jcrim here so you can go ahead and PM me what you think, unless anyone else has other input here.

soooo i dunno if this helps but ive rode with j and the ride was rough buuuuuttttt that was the super aggressive track set spring rates on the CO's. He had 15x8 on all four corners and that besh held the road! i think it was the 185/50(maybe wrong)and dunlop direzza dz01 star spec. i know the ride made my decision on tire size/brand and if i had the coin right now i would be sitting on some 6ul 15x8. thats just me but i would highly recommend the 15x8...just sayin...he did his homework and it works real world, not just in "theory" or on paper

Why? I'd never use a nice set of wheels in the winter. Don't you have your stocks?

So im almost positive im buying a set of 205/55r15's for some 15x8's just need to take some measurements for clearance because i have no idea if a +36 8" wheel will clear everywhere on the GE

damn i need input...i settled on the 15x7 +36 and now i have two choices of tires, which would you pick between

205/55/15
195/55/15
?????????????????????

they are slightly different in price but im getting a rebate either way so i dont really care.

i keep wanting to go with the 205 because its closest to the stock size im looking for but i feel like the 195's might just look better....ah idk and i just want to buy everything already!

I think that with the +38 offset either size is likely to scrape the inside of the fenders.. I used 195 45 16" on 16"X7" +38 wheels on my GD3 with Swift springs.. Even though they were of less diameter than the 195 55 15" tires that were and again are on my car mounted on 15"x7" +41 wheels they rubbed at times where the +41 offset doesn't.

get whichever size gets you a better tire... better compound design > bigger size

So i just wanted to say thanks for all the help! I just placed an order for the 15x7 6UL's in black and got a set of 205/55r15 Kuhmo Ecsta 4x UHP All Seasons to wrap them in.

When my warranty is up you can bet your ass im running a staggered setup like yours and throwing some sweet coils on!
