J, I think you are confusing your tires... The Toyo R1R is a "street tire" just like Dunlop Z1 Star Spec, Bridgestone RE-11, Advan AD08, Hankook Rs-3, etc... They have a 140 treadwear:
PROXES R1R Extreme Performance Summer Tires | Toyo Tires
Not to be confused with the RA1 or R888 which are DOT Racing Tires with treadwear in the 40-80 range:
PROXES RA1 | Toyo Tires
Just some food for thought...

haha just realized what you said. DOH! yeah I see now. I accidentally wrote Ra1 instead of R1R.
I wonder how long they would last on the street : \

Go over to Mesquite to Smiley's and get some Hoosier track tires... You can corner like a sidecar racer with just two wheels on the ground....

yeah, if anyone makes a 225/45/15, they would make HELLA bank. theres like 2 "street" tires in that size .. period..
1. RS3 (GOD OF ALL STREET TIRE, national outage, no eta)
2. toyo r1r (old compound that now-a-day street tires with a UTA of 200 would out perform. Also they tires are know to over heat on track.)

When you're sure that the Fit is going as fast as it can go and you're sure that you're driving it as fast as you possibly can, put these on.
When they wear out, go to full slicks. This will bring a huge smile to your face and I guarantee you'll be pegging that fun meter.

Hoosier does make tires in the size that you are looking for:

haha yeah!
I knew the tire is avalible that I want in R comp but I was really trying to avoid them all together and just stay on street tires. I know I can get more out of street tires still and I didnt want to start bandaiding by using R comps when I can still be faster on street tires. get what im saying? I also still daily drive my car to work and back (10 mile total commute) then after work I just take my gf's car which is like luxury to me now a days hahha.
I read a lot on all of the tires in the size I was wanting and decided on the NT01. Its an "entry" level DOT street legal R comp so maybe It wont be sooo bad. I will avoid rainy day travel too. Should be okay. Maybe by the time the hankook RS3s come out, these tires will be done and I got to track on them a couple of times. Im going to an open track day/ test and tune day sometime soon. not with the K but the current L15a. Just for fun. and I miss it hahaha. and the open track day is cheap so..
I wonder how the car will feel with this staggering set up. I really really hope I can control it and keep that back end behind me. Worse case scenario, Ill just put 2 more 9s on the back to match the front.
wheels and tires should be mounted this weekend if not monday.

i checked the tracking numbers, just got them, and onlinetires.com took forever to mail them out.. so I wont get them until Tuesday. So I'll do it then. Im pretty excited and hoping that i wont have to do too much modification to fit the 15x9s with 225/45s up front. Im thinking just a spacer. Just incase, I went ahead and ordered 10mm nice H&R hub centric spacers. I already have extended studs so this is what they are for lol. I really HATE using spacers but what can you do? 10mm might be too much but it will give me some kind of idea. I don't think the fenders will be too much of a problem as I am NOT slammed. worse case scenario, I will have to further roll them or even cut them and get fender flares. Im not scared, Ill do it. BECAUSE RACE CAR!
but im sure rolling/ pull would do it. I bet I could have used a 5mm spacer instead.

Just be ready to replace wheel bearings more often. The GDs are already notorious for the wheel bearings to give way. Putting additional outward weight off the hub is just going to add more stress to them. Those stateside may not have seen the problems yet in the GD since they are not as old as here in Japan where the car has been out for going on almost 10 years.
