Ok results are in... I finished 3rd in ST Class out of 3 cars.. Now I know that sounds bad, but I was less then 0.2 seconds off the 2nd place and about 0.3 seconds off the 1st place. It was a hard battle the whole day in +95F weather but tons of fun and it came to the last run to lose my 2nd place. Fit behaved like a Star all day... So all in all I think I did GREAT!

Also to prove even more to my theory of "Driver > Car"... I beat a Lotus Elise, BMW M3, Porsche 911, S2000, 350Z, Subaru STi, and even a Formula SAE... all in raw time, not PAX time !!!! I Love Racing !!!

Here is the video of my wining run...Welcome to Facebook | Facebook

Let me know if you can't see it

Nice run! Wish I could have made it out! Yes it was HOT all over Houston... I don't think I'm ready to do that with my 2010... But it looks like a lot of fun!

Nice driving, if you want to get some more seat time this month you should come out to the gymkhana event at Angleton Raceway. Its 10 bucks to watch, 30 bucks to drive. You'll have 10 runs for the actual competition for that day and after everyone is done with their ten you can get more seat time during the afternoon fun runs.

Tech/driver sign in is from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, first car on track at 10 AM. Here is the link if you are interested, I'm sure they're are a few more drivers now because that list isn't updated.

I have ridden down there on my Goldwing and Fit from Matamoros on up..... There is a lot of desolation between civilization down there..... I like it that way.

finally another texan fit freak using the motorcycle sites to find good routes! its to bad i dont have my fit any more.

if you by any chance own an iphone bridgestone tires just released a free app called "nation of go" basically you stop at the beginning of a road to take a photo of the street sign and to have gps pin point your location on google maps, hit start, run the road, at the end hit stop and take a picture of the final street sign.

the app maps out the run and adds the pictures you take and uploads them to their database so other people who use it or visit their website can do the run when ever they want. its pretty cool because you have to hit start and then stop, it gives you the time it takes to run the road. also because it is gps based it gives you your average mph and a few other little bits of info about your run.

Word to the wise Jason, don't go on CR 42 (which is just north of Rosho) after a heavy rain or storm. I drove it a couple of hours ago and there is a lot of debris on the road at the moment and the road isn't exactly top notch.

The road surface is similar to that of Angleton Dragway's lot, just a bit rougher. Other than that, the section from point B to C is pretty fun.

I actually stumbled upon that site late at night. It surprised me to see that there were some nice roads around this area. I don't have an iPhone but that does sound like a niffty ap.

What happened to your Fit?

Whats up with that? I always thought that teachers get almost the entire summer off except for a few teacher service days?

Get an 18mm spark plug non fouler at any auto parts store, remove the O2 sensor, place the non fouler over the O2 sensor and replace it into the catalytic converter... You will have spent less than $5 and the light should stay off after a reset.

That would be the case if it was the secondary O2, but usually its the Primary O2 and cannot use a fouler for that one since it also acts as a stock AFR for the ECU. I've already been through one and may even have to change mine out again for an inspection. Time to detune and get my car passing.
