Hey we had a great meet last year here in Houston!!! We had a BBQ with a bunch of food, including fried rice, and a special cake that I can do again, b/c there were a bunch of birthdays in Feb. We just have to wait until the weather cools down a little bit.

Surely if we can really work with people's schedules, we can get a decent crowd, it is the summer after all. I'd like to meet the regulars on here, Coyote, Hootie, Hayden, btrthn, Juliane, etc. and the lurkers that I'm sure are out there. Texas is a big freaking state.

Anyone else excited enough to help me get this in motion?
I'm always game for a meet; my folks on the other hand, not too much and that always sucks.

I've put together a couple in past. In fact, I was thinking about this just the other day. SCCA Double Nationals will take place at MSR Houston on August 7th & 8th. It would be loads of fun to have a Fit meet smack dab in the middle. Not to mention, they have the ABSOLUTE best karting in Texas. Blows Track 21 out of the water!!

Rain isn't in the local forecast but aches and pains have me convinced otherwise..... How about the voraciously hungry mosquitoes elsewhere, or have I been the only one that is sacrificing blood, itching and scratching insanely ?

No mosquitos here.. yet. It's just breezy and cool with the occasional shower or downpour. This weekend will have some pretty serious hibernation-like naps in it, me thinks.

^ Agreed.

Might have to take advantage of this rain though. Need to move the Fit outside, soap it up, and let the weather do the rest of the work.
