About to repaint the lugs I got from Adam with the wheels. Then maybe the lip on a couple of the wheels if I have time before it gets dark.

So this is going to take longer than expected... is aircraft paint stripper safe to use on aluminum?

 

it is safe to use on aluminum. what were your stripping? the nuts or the wheels?

 

The lugzzzz. Probably cheaper and easier to buy a new set, but I get some sort of satisfaction by redoing them myself. Only part on the wheel itself I'm doing is the outer rim.

 

wouldn't be cheaper to buy another set like that. Maybe just a set in general. You'll probably never get all the color off because they are anodized red tobegin with. hence the slightly pink color now. But those brand new can run $180
