Silver 2013 DX with 25K miles on it. I was daily driving a 2011 370Z MT, and the Fit just kind of fell in my lap (Honda dealer gave me a heads up on an incoming trade). I'd been considering getting another daily for over a year now, but I never really got serious about looking.

Welcome JARblue! Glad to have another fellow owner from Texas on here!

Just wanted to let anybody in DFW know that if y'all are free on January 6th at 8pm, the UT Dallas Driver's Club will be having a meet on campus. Just look up the location of the Einstein's Bagels on the UT Dallas campus in Richardson. The meets are held on the top floor of the parking garage where the Einstein's is located. If any of you can make it, it'd be awesome to see you there!

How are you?

I had to watch my Fit being towed away after Harvey....still sad about that. I hardly ever see our vintage Fits on the road now. I still have my Fit 3rd brake light if you want it. It's not bright enough to pass inspection but maybe you can fix it?

Anyone who wants it, just PM me and I will send it to you.

Aw... That's sad and I'm terribly sorry to hear.

Are you and the family ok? What did you get as a replacement?

First gens like ours are scarce in general since they were only made 2 model years. It's VERY difficult to find one that's in decent shape and has a clean title in this area.

I may take you up on that offer in regards to the 3rd brake light. I still have my GD3 and pass through Houston at least once a month for autocross on Sundays.

We're fine. We had flood insurance so we are in the process of restoring/improving our home. We just moved back in to the 2nd floor over the weekend. No kitchen yet, no countertops, it isn't like the Property Brothers where everything is all finished and all you need to do is plop your butt on the couch and enjoy, but we needed to get out of the rented townhome we have been living in for 7 mos. Eventually we'll get to our new "normal."

I ended up with a 2014 Rav4 XLE. In blue. It's nice, and now when I see a 1st gen. Fit I do notice how small they really are. I never felt my Fit was that small but compared with what I have now, which is considered a small SUV, it really was pretty tiny. I used to see a lot of Fits on the road, all gens, but now they seem to have gone out of style or something.

Actually as you might imagine, losing both our cars was probably the most problematic aspect of the whole Harvey mess. My FIL was very possessive with his car but I have a dear friend who just handed me her keys and said, "Bring it back whenever." I kept it for a month and it was a lifesaver for me. It was hard to find a used car, tons of them were being shipped down here from NY and FL which I was not interested in. Mine had 34,000 miles on it. I would have liked to get one with a few less miles on it, but I don't like the look of the newer Rav4s anyway. Hubby found a 2015 Lexus with 4,000 miles on it. That was a find.

When I find that Fit brake light again, I'll PM you and get your address to drop it in the mail. I did keep my plates out of sentimentality.

Forgot to post that I bought another Fit, an '18 EX 6MT in Orange Fury, the day after buying the '11 Sport. Guess I went a bit crazy last week.

Does anyone in the DFW area need floor mats? I just bought a 2020 new-to-me Fit and the previous owner left two sets of floor mats in the car so I have a set of carpet floor mats that I don't need if anyone wants them.

New to Fit ownership.

So I have a 19 Ex CVT and have owned it for a year. What a great car. And there have been a few mods.
-Led smoked tail Ligts
-RS replica wing
-Chin spoiler
-16x7 +45 rpf1 on 205 50R16 Continental DWS 06
-tow hook mounted license plate
-eco hitch hidden 2” trailer hitch
-Led headlight bulbs (Hikari)

Are there any Honda Meets or Fit meets in the houston Area?

Also I’m selling a pair of OEM tail lights (red 4 pieces)
and
a pair like the ones in the picture on the car.

To be honest, its been rather quite here in the Texas community for some time... Like easily since before the GK5 even came to production so maybe 7 or 8 years roughly since our last meet up.

Some members have moved on from Fit ownership but we do have some that still own Fits like myself and a few others.

I wouldn't mind organizing one again after this "pandemic" ordeal passes over.

As for other Honda meets... I'm not sure to be honest.

Got any details or pictures of the calipers and/or pads? Might be able to help you match some up. If not, maybe email Brian Hasty at Fast Brakes (he should be on the forum too) with pictures of the caliper and possibly pads.

i sourced myself. 2005 nissan 350z with brembos uses same pad type F306. apparently pads have some what universal/iso sizes.

Anyone with a dc5R brembo, Project Mu 4 pot, etc can run same pads as 350z
