I see they are sticking with that covered rear wheel thing... My question is, how do you see out of it, forward or rear, or does it drive itself?? And, it looks like it was made by Japanese people FOR Japanese people, pretty small size for American-height and weight folks.

This seems like a great place to say Hi. I am a long time lurker and probably missed the hayday of this forum but I'm here to contribute now.
How is that concept car an suv? Doesn't seem to have any ground clearence.

I have AAA so I can get towed to the shop if it just goes out somewhere...but I did use up one of my calls the other day for nothing, when I was using the WRONG KEY!

^^ Tis an awkward fix at least trying to get to the bolts.
Several bolts are in some "interesting" positions and you have to removed the engine splash shield and possibly the dip stick tube to remove it... all from underneath the car. Once you have the bolts out though, its pretty much cakewalk in terms of removal and swapping in the replacement starter itself.

My car really made a big grinding noise this morning - it got down below 40 F last night and tomorrow will be colder...I called my mechanic and he said to bring it by on Monday and see if they can test the starter out to see what's going on. He said it's not a function of mileage, but of how many start cycles you've used. He said 40K seems like a short time to already need a starter, though. I'm not happy, but what the hell. I do start the car a lot more than someone who just drives to work and back every day.
Oh, and he said the battery should not play much of a part in it, unless it's not getting enough power but it still shouldn't make that grinding noise in that case.

I'd hate to say mileage is always a way to factor in things, but it isnt. My work may be 8 miles away, but I engage in my clutch very often since its not highway miles. I won't ever get that 5+ year clutch. Same would go with your starter, if you crank it up a lot daily, then it will overuse certain parts and miles stay low because commute isnt far. You have 40k miles, I have 118k miles, its all driving habits and commute.

I think I seen Paulda93 at a corner store in Rosharon on the way to work this morning. I was running kinda late and happened to see the Fit from a distance.
X2 on this!

[QUOTE=13fit;1214751]New look. One inch spacers in rear. Fronts fit, but a big bump on the highway, or hard braking, would have made it rub.
I have Buddy Club N+ coilovers and 205 50 16s on 6.5 x16 45 offset wheels.. The coils are set very close to stock height... It's the best setup I've had on the car since I bought it in 2006.. No scraping, bottoming out, ride is comfy, handles great and no more damaging the front lip.. I can drive as fast as I like without worry of anything being damaged... I enjoy my car a lot more when I am not stressed out about it getting damaged and getting unwanted attention from the law.. It handles and holds the road better than when lowered this way too... I have a Beatrush panel to clean up air flow under the engine compartment. That will lower the temperature under the hood, improve fuel mileage stability and top end speed..
