ATF Fluid Change

Is there a way to drain the torque converter on the U.S. model Fit when changing the fluid?

How about an ATF cooler return line that can be disconnected to allow flushing?

Unfortunatly no,the only real way to get 100% of the fluid out is to due a trans. flush! My suggestion if you keep up with your service you can due a drain and fill and have no issues.

I share your concern- would like to completely drain my auto trans. and switch to synthetic Amsoil ATF (Honda approved). But about half the ATF in the trans. is in the converter. I believe that a transmission service shop can completely drain the trans., and I will try this approach in the near future. If I am successful, will post results on the forum. I might try a few phone inquiries right after this holiday weekend.
