2007 base model keyless entry

Hey y'all I'm new here. I've searched but have not found an answer relevant to my year car. It's a 2007 base model and I've looked under the dash by the fuse box and didn't see any green plugs. Does this model already have the module? The oem one? I'd really like install and add keyless entry. Thanks

If you don’t have the plug available for a factory unit then you will have to go aftermarket.

Where should the plug be located?

Good news and bad - it's pretty easy to tell. The base model 07 has no keyless entry, but if you want to be sure, you need to pop off the panel above your pedals and look left. There's a metal bracket there pointing roughly toward the front edge of the floorboard. If you hsve the module, it's on that bracket.

They're danged near impossible to find though. I'm actually working on mine today - got my 07 a few months ago and got the driver lock repaired because it was the easier option while I looked for a module.

Good news was (at least for me) there were about 6 cars at my local junkyard, but all in the "pay us to pull it cause it's too fancy to do yourself" lot. They got the module out based on my description and using the installation instructions posted on one of the other forum threads here (sorry, I forget which one). Bad news is, the wiring was entirely different than called for in the specs if it was installed at the factory.

The official kit includes a nifty little wiring harness with 5 connector points on it. Plug them in and you're done.

But if you're getting the module off of a sport model, the harness is wrapped into the entire wiring of the front end by ONE cable and it requires ripping the whole thing apart to get at it.

Additionally, if you want to install the aux port that goes just below the cigarette lighter/power port, it isn't very hard to do, but the cable for that connects the special aux port to the back of the radio is a pain in the butt to find. I'm going to have to go back to the yard tomorrow to try to get it out. Didn't grab it today hoping that the car had the wiring installed and just no port, but that wasn't the case. It seems to be connected the port 2/4 in the back of the stero, second from the left and the centermost grey one.

Good news here is that there is a 3rd port right next to that, between the aux port and the antenna, which you can plug an aftermarket system int to add the aux port or dedicated mp3 player etc. That may be the easier way to go, but I really like the look and cleanliness of the in-console aux port. Now I've just got to get ahold of both these stupid wires T_T

If the module isn't there, I thought I read on other post that there is a green plug where I could buy a module from Honda(on amazon) and plug it in? 08E60-SCV-100 is the part number. Would that work? I'm going to look and see if that's where the plug is.

It has power windows and locks if that makes a difference.

I found a plug behind and above the fusebox with blue tape. Is that the connector for the module?

Added keyless entry into my 08 Base and you need a add on harness as well as the module to make it all work. Managed to find mine finally at a wrecker.

Would you happen to have the part numbers needed? I've looked but there is conflicting info on this for 2007, guessing 2008 is the same?

I remember there being a difference in the 07 base model using a different immobilizer than the sports and 08 fits. Im using the harness an element receiver and an element/sport key so I don't need to have a separate fob on my 08

The part number for the add on kit from Honda is 08E60-SLN-300. The Transmitter fob is 08E61-S5D-1M001 and the receiver/control unit is 08E61-S5D-1M002. There is no part number for the harness alone and the whole kit has long been discontinued.

Thank you very much for the info! I remember seeing a pdf on how to install and it has a harness included in the kit. I'll have to look at the local junk yard. I wish they made this easier to accomplish.

Looks like this is the whole kit with module and harness, doesn't seem to include the fobs though:

That kit on eBay says requires keyless entry so I don't think it would work. So just to confirm I can't just buy the module with the remotes there is a harness that plugs into the plug I found the had blue tape on it, right?

That sound more like a security system then a remote locking system to me.

It's a security system which requires keyless entry. I just need the harness that used to come with the kit(module and remotes) but can't seem to find it. Does anyone have one installed they could try to get a part number off?

James, see my post from April 2018 on the “advice for adding keyless entry to a GD” thread. If you really really want keyless entry on a gd base your only option is an aftermarket keyless entry/remote start kit off eBay. You will have to remove at least the power window switch controls from the drivers door and run wires from inside the car into the drivers door to connect to the power door lock master switch. The directions in the kit were very sketchy and in the end you will only be able to lock and unlock all the doors and rear hatch in unison, I could not isolate only the drivers door and I spent DAYS trying.
But, 2 years later the keyless still works
and even has a blinking LED that simulates an alarm system.
Sorry I can’t remember more specific details of the install or have any pics.
The car was for a relative. I wish I had kept it for myself; a mint 08 base MT with 25,000 one owner miles. Drove it from Cali to Virginia to deliver it, a pleasure to drive, I miss it.
