My new honda fit sport (2007)

Hey was just wondering if it is a common issue with these cars to have electrical problems. I just bought one yesterday and realised the back windows dont roll down, the rear door (hatch) wont lock when I press the button on the key. And it honked when it locked.... but only once. What kind of issue is this and where should I start, thanks. Also if I dont have an interior handle on the inside rear door would that affect the power lock on that door as well?

Welcome to the forum!

Short answer: no, it's not common to have electrical problems in Fits. Although all kinds of problems are possible in 13 year old car if not maintained and taken care, I'd say that based on what I have read from this forum, it might well be that your problems are not electrical either. Rear door windows tend to stick if not used regularly and rear hatch door handle hinge rusts if not lubricated regularly causing problems to open and lock the hatch. Please use the search of this forum and you'll find more information how to tackle these faults.

Horn- the Fit doesn't honk when you lock it. It will honk if you hit the lock button a second time after it has already locked, to indicate that the alarm is set.

I suspect your locking and window problems are separate and unrelated.

Do the head lights come on when you lock it with the key because only my tail lights do?

Nope. I believe only the tail lights and small lights over the actual headlight.
