Bolt specs transmission

Hi all my fit is developing issues popping out of 5th again. I changed the MTF and found some sparklies. also it was pretty much dry. They told me at the shop where they replace the transmission before I could take it back to check for leaks after awhile but I never found the time. This time im replacing it myself and I will check and fix all oil leaks on the weekends. Then I will see if I cant figure out how to change over the 5th gear synchro in the old one and have a spare in case it happens again. I also found the transmission side mount was completely separated. I'm halfway through the repair and I may not have labeled all the bolts as well as I could have. I am wondering if there was a service manual that has all the specific lengths of the bolts involved. All the bolts that hold the transmission to the block are the same length right? one I have is a bit longer. I wonder if its to something else.

I have removed:
starter bolts (its still there just backed out)
transmission to engine bolts
the bolts that hold rear and side transmission mount also lower side torque mount
front radiator fans
front radiator and AC condensor mount brackets.
radiator fill tube bracket

maybe some other things
most of the rest of the bolts I have put back into the holes they came from for safe keeping.

If you've got library access try checking for free access to the Chilton Library.

From my old post here I have the torque mount but I don't recall the others...
Rear Axle:
90164-SMG-E00 -> 93 Nm (x2)

Torque Mount:
90180-T9C-000 -> 93 Nm (x1 Vertical Bolt)
90188-TF0-000 -> 83 Nm (x1 Horizontal Bolt)

Subframe:
90179-SDA-A00 -> 103 Nm (x4)
(Front crossmember bolts -> 54Nm)

I don't think it was necessary to remove anything radiator-related, but if it helps make more space

The bolt that goes through the bottom of the starter is much longer than the others. Then in my case the one that was at like 10 o'clock was a bit longer too. Also the other top one wasn't fully threaded in when I was taking it apart, and I couldn't get it fully in when reassembling back, either.

5th gear synchro should be pretty easy to replace, no press or special tools necessary. But maybe if it's poppaing out, the detents on the shift fork got worn out? Mine were surprisingly worn for the mileage though not enough to be a problem.

Hi sorry yeah I figured it out. I got the new transmission in there. It works. Also replaced a separated transmission mount. I have the old one apart on the table and trying to detect whats worn. I couldn't really tell last night but I will take a better look at it when I have more time.

Ok I thought I updated this thread idk where the update went. I did manage to figure out where all the bolts went as well as the correct routing of all the wires and brackets etc. Its in the car now and working fine. Probably about time to crack open the transmission fill bolt and check the fluid level to see if its leaking any MTF. Anyways I kept the old transmission to fix up so I can have a spare since this has happened to me multiple times before. I have the casing apart and was trying to see if there is any wear on the 5th synchros before I took it apart. The ring is hard to move into position compared to the one on the bottom and it has some discoloration. I bet that is the problem. The bearing on the top is stuck though. I seem to remember the D series one I took apart to change a main bearing the top bearing came off accidentally. does this one need a gear puller?

ok so I did end up using a puller. I got it apart and found issues with almost all parts of 5th gear. I wonder where the best place to get parts for honda fit transmissions is. Do synchrotech make parts for the GD fit?

Oof those poor synchros. I think common advice is goto a pick and pull salvage yard, or directly from factory parts catalog.

Im thinking about buying parts from here:
https://www.hondapartsconnection.com...-5-23626rem305

Just too bad its almost the price of another used transmission. but at this point I have the transmission apart on the table and I kinda want to finish the project and get on to other things.
