Hmmm. Isn't an 8"-wide rim a little too thick?

The wheel offset is good but the dish needs to checked for the centerbore and clearance around the calipers/drums.
And then the clearance around the rim on suspension parts.
And whether it fits depends mostly on the tire selected.
If you select 17x205/40 or 195/40x17you may be OK. But then the wheel is way overkill.

That's what I'm thinking about too. It may be a little wide. Maybe I should try 17x7.5 4x100 with offset +45. I'm thinking of using 205/40R17 tires on it. I have not decided yet which wheel because its hard to choose because all the 3 choices I mentioned all looks great.

Erratum:
205/40R17 was indeed the tire size recommended on our shores, not 215. Apologies

Any width over 7" is overkill and probably costly and poorer performing unless you find a really light 17x7 wheel.
The best overall tire is Yokohama S Drive 145/40x17's. Winner all the way around on 45 mm offset, even 42mm but not less.

I found this guy running the same size of the wheels that I want and he said that the only problem he had was the front wheel well cover was rubbing. And he did tucked the cover and no more rubbing. I' not sure if this info will be 100% sure because he is the only one I saw rocking this size of wheels and tires. His wheels looks good so I chopped it on an MR Fit

Check out this offset calculator link its helped me out alot Wheel Offset Calculator

205/40/17 is a great size but you need to concentrate on the offset unless you want problems. I had 17x7 with 40 offset and with stock height I rubbed front and back on every little bump.
