Did you wire it to the dome? and my second question is... can you wire it so it has the same features as the dome light (on, door, off)? thanks

Mikey isn't cheap, he's very creative, resourceful and nice enough to share his ideas with us... Folks like him don't have to spend a lot to have nice things.

Fit's in the shop for valve adjustment

guy didn't wanna do it because in his opinion they shouldnt be needed till 100k... he even checked the honda site for technicians to see if theres a studdering issue with fits. i told him there wouldnt be anything there because honda hasnt recognized it (yet) (dont wanna do recalls)

i can see his point of view though. doesn't want his customer to think it will remedy the issue when he himself doesnt believe it will fix it.

fingers crossed

Had every intention of washing my fit with dish soap to pull any wax off then use the turtle wax ice clay kit on it, then wax it again... but i see it might rain today and tomorrow and friday so maybe not the best time to put in all that work. oh well its the thought that counts right? I did spend the money on all that stuff today so it should count for something.

ya seems like it runs a lot smoother

mechanic said that the exhaust valves were too tight and the intake was too loose and to get back to him if it acts up again (it only studders in the morning/night when its really cold) because he's interested for possibly remedying other customers cars.

fingers still crossed!

Cool i gotta figure that out, did you pull the wires over the headliner, or did you pull the headliner out?

Over the decades I've found a speedometer cable is perfect for shnake'n wires. With this mod I found that the head liner b4 the rv mirror has foam blocks but on the passenger's side b4 the vissor clip is about a 3" area that's free of obstuctions. It takes a few tries to get the cable to agree to go there but then tape the wires and pull.

Thanks for the info...Any engine with rocker arms that doesn't have hydraulic lifters is going to require valve adjustments at shorter intervals than DOHC that use the bucket, shim type of adjustment... I think the reason that Honda mechanics think that a valve adjustment isn't necessary until 100,000 miles is due to not having to deal with 16 valve single overhead cam engines with rocker arms.
