This gave me access to the valve cover. A few bolts and that's off- allowing access to the rockers. All you need is a flat head screw driver, a 10mm box end wrench, feeler gauges (I suggest getting the ones that have an angle to them), and a bit of RTV sealant. Follow the procedure, and put it back together.

Being super careful and having to try a few different routes for the intake mani, it took me roughly 2 3/4 hours. Now that I've done it, I'd say it can be done in 1 1/2 to 2.
seems pretty straightforward but bending over for 2hrs with a badback will kill me

i wonder how much it'll cost for a shop to do

Yea, if you have a bad back, have someone else do it.

That engine bay is tight and a lot of stuff is in the back part of the motor.

Fortunately I have a place to work where I can take my time, for days even if necessary, to complete whatever I have started.... My back and knees have been screwed up since I was a kid and has limited my ability to do a lot of things.. Good luck, It only gets worse so don't speed the process up by doing things that cause pain like I was in no position to avoid when I was younger.

Thats funny. I know Im a wheel whore, and my friends tell me that alot. These are my fifth set of aftermarket wheels. They also call me a rota whore, but what can I say I like there wheels. I do think I have found my set of KEEPERS, however Im still a whore. So I will be serching for my sixth set, but I will not be selling these. The Hammered look works great, and I have recieved alot of positive comments on their unique color. Dont know how I came up with it, but Corona had something to do with it. I try to stay on the different side with things, but love my JDM so I cant stray tooooo far....

Thanx for all the positive comments......

Give them the paint code and they send paint, order clear as well. Remove the parts, sand with 400 grit, wax remover clean it, paint color coats, then clear.

Winglets came from rocksagd3 on here. He custom makes them. They will come unpainted for $100.

And thank you for your comment. It means alot to me.
They look awesome man! Hopefully installation was a breeze. If you don't mind, could you post some pics over in my FS thread. Thanks!

Today I backed the car out of the garage and let her soak in some of the rays.

Since the weather will be warming up soon, I sprayed rodent repellent under the hood paying extra attention to the hoses and wiring.. I'm not going to let rats eat up the wiring harness on this car.

Had to put the stock 15"s on it this afternoon. I curbed one of my 17"s pretty bad a couple of weeks ago. Notcied a bad wobble sound at speeds of 65 and over. Took it to a tire place to get 'em all balanced and the guy told me the wheel was too bad to balance. Now I'm in the market for some GSR Blades. I like the way the fit rides with 15"s instead of 17"s anyway.

is your car garaged? if it is, does rodent repellent work if it's sprayed on the garage floor?

More than likely it is the difference in weight that you like....15" Enkei RPF1s are over 7 lbs lighter than your stock wheels so you can probably get an idea of the difference in the kind of improvements they would make on your car after experiencing a similar reduction in weight by changing back to stock from 17s.

Oh yeah, I can definitely feel a difference from the weight. Throttle feels much more responsive than with the 17's. Me likey! I guess I didn't really notice the ride difference because I was so excited about my new "bad-ass" wheels lol.

-Also I've weighed both stock and GSR Blades. Blades are 4 pounds lighter than stock each when both sets of wheels have 195/50/15R Kumho Ecstas. Not as significant as 7 pounds... but still pretty good. Can't wait to find a set.

I was rushed into work by my area manager, because of some shit... told me we had a big problem that something went down durring my shift the day before blah blah...

i commute about 30miles each way, so i was trying to get there in a hurry. when i get 10miles away from my exit... traffic comes to a full stop, 3lanes was shut down out of 5. im in the left lane and a semi trys to cut me off so i swerve into the shoulder where i ran over something... i looked like a brace for a new over pass that they are building.... i didnt realize that it hit my oil pan until my car just died... the engine didnt lock up but it just died...

next day got the oil pan replaced, honda told me that when they started the engine it was no good. so we waited for me insurance... 5weeks later they finally sent the 7k to get a new engine

hopefully getting her back next week.

received my replacement bolt for the coil pack from bernardis. i broke my original one off tightening down my new coilpack....

so at my lunch break i went to inspect things, took off the coil pack and to my amazement there was a bit of the bolt exposed. SWEET i can get it off with some pliers (hopefully!)

well, i was wrong

...not in a bad way, a good way. it came out with just my fingers super happy!!! didn't have to drill it out or anything.

now i'm just trying to figure out how you overtighten a bolt so much you break off the head and then are able to fish it out by hand? (maybe it loosened in that 1 week? heh..)

and a pic of my new t1r intake:
