I currently don't recall what I've posted here with my intermittent hiatus... BUT since October...
I've gotten the VBP two siblings. Milano Red 5MT Sport twins at that.
Nearing December, we made a new friend. @julianachos
And most recently, the VBP received new eyes just before a family get together near the 4th of July. One of the twins is not in the picture unfortunately.
I'm currently wrapping up moving and finally have an attached garage. The VBP with be getting a mild refresh soon... the MR in the last picture set has an interesting little story and will likely have a dedicated tread for it when I settle in and have free time.
Previously, I had removed the OEM wire looms to thin out the wiring harnesses. I finally got around to re-looming the harnesses and, though I am not finished, it is looking a lot better.
That looks fantastic! I ordered a bunch of different sizes of split woven wrap from Racetronix to re-loom most of my engine compartment. Trying to convince the wife that it's her job, but no luck yet.
What brand did you go with for the loom and management hardware? Looks like good stuff.
I had to re do my keyless entry. My original remote just stopped working. No idea why. Changed the batteries. Seems a poor connection for the battery. Tried to mess with it for hours. To no avail. Didn’t fix. Went and dug out my spare and had to program it.

We joke about trying to get one of each color Fit and then mix and match body parts. Make our own version of the old Harlequin VW's. You're on the way to making that a possibility!!!

Thank you, @GAFIT. Re-looming with the split loom stuff is so easy, honestly. The split loom is from a brand called CrocSee. I bought it off Amazon. 25 feet will come up short for re-doing the interior harnesses, so I'd recommend two 25-foot rolls. I didn't care to go with some fancy, super-expensive brand because this is overkill anyway, in my opinion. With the way I have the harnesses secured, there's no way it's moving anywhere or unraveling itself. All the wires inside have their own shielding as well. I did this mostly for keeping the wires neat and tidy.
Hardware was just some grade 8.8 bolts from Home Depot that matched the thread pitch and diameter for existing holes in the car along with rubber-insulated metal clamps. Again, these are probably not the most elegant solution, but it works and it wasn't super expensive. No need for me to go crazy with the clamps.
TIL that disc brakes are a HELLUVA lot easier to replace than drums! figured it was time after almost 130k miles... got rotors/pads/drums & all for a nice price too since i had a coupon @ r-1 concepts. i've officially gotten my hands dirty for the first time! next up for my lil rollerskate, suspension, exhaust, replace my crummy tint

If you want to save a bit of cash, you can remove the existing window tint yourself with some black trash bags and a warm/hot day. YouTube will have a bunch of videos on the process, I'm sure.
Somehow I didn't realise until yesterday that you can recline the rear seats, which is the key to unlocking the "Refresh Mode" layout of the Magic Seats. Thanks to the forums here for the tip! I don't think I'd want to sleep on these overnight, but it seems very comfy for sitting and reading or enjoying a picnic with a friend. Honda Fit Magic Seats Refresh Mode

No problem. It's super easy to do and the tint should come off very easily and leave behind very little adhesive residue. A quality tint shop should thoroughly prep the windows, which would include removing any potential adhesive off the glass. You can also do this yourself with a razor and some soap/water solution.

How does that actually work? I tried to do it but the front seats just bump into the rear bench and won't fit flush like this.
Here's what I did today:
Today looked like it would be a reasonably nice day for the first and maybe last time in weeks so I took some time to replace the windshield washer. Since June I had the front and rear washer swapped because the pump somehow exploded, so to use it I had to turn on the rear wiper and then washer, while simultaneously also turning on the front wipers. Quite a pain in the ass, but I could get away with it during the summer.
I wasn't able to find any specs on the OEM pump so had to kind of wing it. The closest one I could find is this one, intended for various Hondas including the Civic 1988-2004. Close enough, right?
The connector is flipped, with the latch on the right side. Easy to rotate the cable, except it's just barely long enough
The diameter is juuust too large to fit with the original or supplied grommet thing, maybe by like 1mm. It might be possible to sand it down a little, or enlarge the hole in the tank to make it fit. Or use a ton of silicone instead. Or option D, lots of teflon tape, which is what I did because it was the quickest solution. Doesn't seem to be leaking.
What does seem to be leaking is the tube, which might've been damaged when I was taking it off. Just tiny little drops show up from somewhere. I wrapped it in the same tape because that's all I had but I doubt it'll help much. I'll fill it up and see how much is disappearing, probably not much.
so not today , but sunday, we put on the weapon-r header, hks hi-power & new spark plugs. sounds so pretty! weekend before, megan coilovers, control arms, cv axles, tie rods, oil change & alignment. still got a few things to check out, but man what a difference!!

The trick is to lift the release latch on the back seat and tilt it further back to the reclining position. That gives the front seat just enough room. But apparently the Refresh Mode might not be available on Fit/Jazz models in all regions, sorry. Mine is a 2006 JDM GD1.

Hmm, I'll give it a try late next time. Googling around, it does seem that this might not work on European models, which is extremely weird. Like they just made the EU front seats 1cm taller or something, so they don't fit?
Update: Nope not even close
Anyway. Ordered windshield wipers. What a nightmare! You'd think it would be easy but the parts store helpfully suggested all sorts of sizes, from 600mm, 580, 530, 525,500, 380, 340, 350, and probably some other options. Ok, I'll jut go outside to measure them and... front: 485/415, rear: 350. Hmm.
Well life happens and the last time I posted on this web site which started it all for me and the Fit was 4/28/2019. My sister passed away, my Mom broke her hip and then fell again in 2020 which she never recovered from. The reason I was brought back to this site which I wasn't sure was still here was because of a random fellow Fit Freaker who I saw on the Interstate driving a GD3 Fit - you just don't see them so much around here anymore. He was at a light to turn left but pulled out and followed me to a gas station. He saw my Fit Freak. Net sticker on the back of my windshield and pulled up behind me. I got out of the car at the same time he did and I said, "I love your car". We had a great time talking and he could not believe all the mods I have done to the Fit. He was driving a 2008 Fit Sport and we had a blast talking about how much we love our cars. He and his wife were just a pleasure to talk to and when he told me this site was still up and running, I just had to come back home. Back in 2007 you had to wait 3 months for your car to come from Japan and I purchased my Milano Red Fit Sport on May 17, 2007. I loved how many Fit Freaks had modified their cars and I decided I was tired of driving a car that looked like everyone elses. Mugen parts started coming in , carbon fiber followed and in 2009 I started showing in Tuner/Import classes are car shows. I retired it from showing in 2014 ending the year with Top Tuner and top 75 Judges Choice. I started working from home in 2017 and at this time only have 76,600 miles on it. Still drives like a dream, still telling people that no it is not my son's car and brings a smile to my face to be behind the wheel. So I am officially back, don't know how many old timers like me are still around. I will be 67 next May and still driving my modified Honda Fit Sport.
new radio. went back in to do the backup camera, forgot to unhook the wiring harness from the fan speed control box, ended up ripping it apart in pieces. oops. ordered a replacement, and used the opportunity to replace the climate control lights. they are VERY bright even when dimmed and VERY blue. might need to cut some paper or something to fit behind the dials and tone it down some lol.. need to order better bulbs for the ac and defrost button 🙄 i ordered one of those 150db trumpet horns from amazon... man its been quite a pain in the ass to install. when i finally had it rigged to a relay to a button in the cabin (installed in the blank spot by the power mirror controls) and it worked, how about the car would not start. it would attempt to, but all power would just cut like there was a short somewhere. ended up having to disconnect it. i had the negative to the horn's compressor going to the negative terminal on the battery - that was like the only way i could get the button to activate the compressor, but thats also what caused the car to not start. i should be able to ground the new horn to the battery, right? ive tried grounding the horn in other places, but it wont trigger then... seems weird.. unless maybe from the wiring hardness from the radio or some other area is touching somerthing it shouldnt? not sure.. im kinda new to all this car mods lol...

Oh that reminds me that I have to replace the HVAC backlight bulb at some point too. Heat/Fan is easy enough in the dark but I can never remember which order the options are, and I constantly mix them up with the Miata's.
What kind of bulb did you use? From the parts diagram I found that it's supposed to be 79671-SAA-003 BULB, WEDGE (13.5V 150MA), but those seem to be pretty impossible to find, other than from Honda I suppose.
