I own a 2007 Honda Fit Sport with 208,000 miles on it. Bought it new. That radio lasted 14 years without a problem, except that the face plate started to fade to black...Got tired of that. Me and a friend installed a BOSS bluetooth/radio in the car. Looks nice with a new faceplate (the old one had heat cracks.) We broke the middle temperature control switch..The blower control switch not the knob itself, it literally broke in half. I ordered the new blower switch for it and when it came, the connector, was too short for the shaft, so I couldn't put the control knob back on it. I have tried to find a blower switch with the right length but cannot seem to locate one. I jimmy rigged it to where I could control the AC and heat...Is there anyway to find the older blower switch? Do I need to go to a junkyard?

This works, and I even decorated it!

If I'm understanding correctly, you need part #79570-SAA-003. Google search shows it's available from a few different places. Bernardi has it for $40. If that's the part you already tried, then you might have something else wrong. If that's the case, a whole new control unit from a junkyard may be your best option.

Yes, it's the part and it works fine, except I cannot seem to push the part into place. I see the attachments and where it might click in. Once I do that, then I imagine that the shaft portion might be long enough...I guess I'll keep trying to push it into place.

Installed a new hatch lock actuator. Finally, after 7+ years and 10 minutes of ownership I dont need the key to lock/unlock the hatch.

Replaced the coil packs, car was chugging more than a frat boy on Saturday night. My bf also straight piped the exhaust from the cat back because my muffler had a giant hole haha, sounds like a civic with a fart can now.

Just for the record, its stated in the break in procedure to NOT go full firm for about 1k miles... At least it did when I got mine about 9 years ago.

Your car, your choice though. =)

Thanks for the heads up. It was only about 4 miles, tried 4 turns from firm on the way home. 1k miles is going to take me a good 2.5 months to hit.

Talking 120k mile service 1st post

I am doing plugs packs injectors MAP air Temp and valve adjustment.
Is that soot from the EGR?
The throttle body looks blackened too is that normal?
how much cleaning should I do?

Oil pan bolt was SUPER tight. After draining the oil i went to replace the plug and found broken threads. I carefully threaded the plug and it finally caught some traction and it is holding for now but it did not feel good. Oil pans are expensive and a lot of work i will be exploring options for next oil change.

Installed the tokico HTS in the front. I look forward to setting this thing to full soft front and rear and driving it around for maybe 10 miles just for the experience.

Over the past week:
- put some silicone on the cracked parts of the roof line and hatch area, worked for the most part but there's still a slight leak, going to go through it with flex seal one more time tomorrow.
- cleaned up the interior, still need to run the extractor on the rear seats.
- ordered a Hybrid Racing shift knob to replace the gross aftermarket one the dealership put on

Lots more to do to get it road worthy before I register it.

Previously, I had removed the OEM wire looms to thin out the wiring harnesses. I finally got around to re-looming the harnesses and, though I am not finished, it is looking a lot better.
