Cleaning the Windshield Washer Nozzles

My 08 Fit washer streams are starting to flow instead of spray. I'd like to get them clean again without dismantling anything in a great way. In my old cars I would use a pin which sometimes made things worse by blocking it further... then I would have to use some more caustic methods and sprays. I thought maybe to use a brake cleaner which dissolves wax easly but may hurt the cheap paint, plasitc or windshield. Can anyone think of any spray that will dissolve the wax easily and not hurt anything else... something with a nozzle for easy application???

Bump on this..... now that there is sand/salt on the roads, I need to use my windshield washers. They started out fine, then weak stream, now nothing.

Carefully use a straight pin.

Problem w/ wiki is forcing obstruction into nozzle. A careful look-see w/ a pin most likely will get it. Also a wt to aim them, but do make sure you point 'em for driving speed air flow...

However, OP might have something in the delivery tube, I would pull the tube and let it squirt free, then work on clearing the nozzle. Air can might very well be your friend.

i fixed it by holding a finger over one nozzle and having someone spray the fluid. the extra pressure should help clear the obstruction. then do the same to the other side. worked like a charm. kinda like when you play with the water fountain as a kid.

also, what about running some white vinegar through the lines to dissolve particulates like in a coffee machine. i would just dillute it and be careful of the paint. but it should get the white crust out...right?
