How to install the mats??

Hey guys i bought some used fit mats on here for $55 there in perfect conditions and come with the anchors. But no instructions. The dealer wants $100 to install them F*** that. So i tryed to figure it out and i think i got it. There is all ready slits cut into the rug. I just cut it all the way open and pushed the anchor under the rug and the installition. But it seems that its hard to get the rug on and off these anchors. Does this sound right to you guys?? Any pics you might have of them installed would be great.

Hey - I just did mine - I got the all-season rubber ones. Which ones did you get? All but the rear driver's side passenger (rear left) have anchors. The front ones are pretty straight forward: 2 metal hooks and you have to put the little plastic grommets into the square holes in the metal under the carpet then drive the screws for the hooks into them.
The rear you had to use the template they came with new, but I just eyeballed it and it came out fine. You put the anchor bottoms in sideways then twist them and then snap the top anchor piece with the hook. I didn't have pics of the install, but I'll snap some later this afternoon. They hold steady but come out easily.
Can you post a couple pics too so we can see if something doesn't look right?

eh no worries. sounds like the carpeted floor mats and the rubber ones use different anchors/points entirely so I'm not sure how much it'd have helped anyway.
