If anyone knows someone who has a 2000+ system in a fit or anything requiring a new alternator and adding batteries. Plz plz forward them to me or let me know how I can get ahold of them. I have probably another 2+ years tell my alternator dies and or battery. Witch to me isn't a big deal just want the solution to my problem b4 one of the 2 goes.

 

Get a capacitor or 2 and install them correctly. They should take the load off of your alternator and battery.

 

my car's alternator is still running strong. it was a rebuild of my stock alternator. no flickering.

I have done the big 3 upgrade using all 0 gauge wires.
i dont have 4-12" subs just one alpine type x 12" sub with the pdx1.1000 amp and it sure kicks good enough for me.
I have also upgraded the battery to optima d51r. <- could barely fit my short ram intake in.
these upgrades seem to be perfect.

fyi, dont ever resort to capacitors. they are just bandages for your car's problems. go do an upgrade at your local alternator rebuilder or you can mail it to the company that did mine "mareks alternators" in grand prairie, tx

they are a bandaid in place of the need for better wiring, stronger batteries, and a stronger alternator.



I honestly dont think capacitors should even exist for cars

 

It helps take the load off of the alternator. Our cars come with a tiny alternator putting out no power. I destroyed mine running a 500w amp for 2 years and that's unacceptable. It's hard to find a good priced H/O alternator for our cars so if you really want to go that route find an auto electrician that is local and willing to rebuild the stock one to be H/O, not sure what goes on internally to make it happen but definitely a small spindle.

A capacitor has worked very well for me. Most people install them incorrectly but mine works great. It pops on whenever I am using a lot of heavy bass and is usually off when I'm not.
