2008 Fit recalls/fog light mod

I never got around to getting the headlight switch or window controls fixed by the dealer and need to schedule my appointment.
I was wondering if anyone with the fog light mod had any issues getting the headlight switch changed out?

I'm not sure what exactly the independent fog light mod entails (read it a while ago, don't remember) but the head light recall just involves 1 wire to be removed from the top of the steering column and be replaced a thicker gauge wire.

If I recall correctly the tech will remove the 2 piece steering column cover, remove the wire on top of the steering column which is under recall (which I think is to power the circuit, didn't ask while watching though), solder in the new, thicker wire and reassemble.

^^ thats where the independent fogs write to. Probably not a good idea to get that one done.

well if that is the same harness as the independent fog mod uses then I would think it would be a very good idea to get that warranty done

I had the headlight warranty work and the window switch done on my '08 Sport and they did not even mention the Independent Fog light MOD. It stills works great.

Ditto. Actually they tied the wire up a little neater than I had done.

No problem with my dealer in Delray Beach Fl. They noted the mod on the work order, but said nothing about it's effect on the (now expired) warranty. Hope this helps.....

Also, how long would you say each of the changes took? There isn't a Honda dealership within 100 miles of where I live so I have to make a day out of it..

I put the honda fog kit onto my base fit a couple of years ago. No issues with getting the window switch mod done.
