The ECU is in front of the front passenger door to the right of the glove compartment.

Not sure that it adjusts fuel or timing. It looks like its a reader and Throttle controller built into one. The timing and fuel is constantly changing and it might slow it down to have a more controlled application to power. Unless parts are changed and the VE maps are changed it can only use what the factory puts into the ecu. A stock ecu can adapt to about 15 percent from stock form through correction features that in the ecu.

Winding the little engine up to maximum revs with the throttle wide open every chance you get rather than driving like you want it to last forever will improve the way it runs... Putting some ultra light wheels like Enkei RPF1s or Kosei K4Rs on your car and not going crazy with heavy wide tires will make a noticeable difference in acceleration, braking and handling... Other than spending a small fortune in time and money to boost and tune the engine dropping a few pounds of rotating mass and unsprung weight has made more difference in improving performance than anything else for me.

I agree with everyone else on this....

If you want snappier throttle response, throttle controllers are out there and I do like my BLitz unit.

I have a DC header on the car, and it was a subtle if at all noticeable change. IK-22 plugs and 91 octane were the most noticeable power change to date. Do searches on the Weapon R as I know there are multiple threads discussing them and fitment....

I am currently pursuing a tuning solution to comply with SCCA AutoX regs and to squeeze a bit more life out of my L15. I will put up a comprehensive post with my findings once I have every thing logged and sorted out
