Meldew issue

Hello hello,

I had a water leak from the driverside rear door. I was able to fix the leak with some sealant but now everything is meldewy. The carpet/cusions under the rear seats were soaked. Any idea how I can remove and clean them?

Thanks!

My carpet is drying right now as we speak from the same problem. I recommend taking the carpet right out, you'll have to remove the seats, center console and some trim but there may be some surface rust underneath that needs attention.

Check out the Service Manual for the Honda Fit here: Honda Jazz 1.4 CVT Making Comfortable . The link is on the top right...not all pages are the exact same as our 1.5 but most of the body stuff is.

If its soaked, then best to remove. I've used a good shop wet/dry vac, towles and paper...but really the best is to remove.
