Just thought I would pass this on. I contacted Sprintex last night and a gentleman from the company responded to me this morning. He told me that they currently have people in the US working on the USDM Fit. He said he would keep me posted on updates. So if I receive anything I will gladly post it here.

Thanks for making the time to get in touch with Sprintex. Much appreciated. And that goes for anyone else making an effort to extract info from Sprintex on their own to share with us.

What would really be great (because I don't know if people are doing this) is if everyone that's attempting to contact Sprintex on their own would also encourage them to set up a vendor profile on FitFreak. It would be a lot easier for them to speak directly to the masses, and we'd all get the same scoop from the same source. Just a suggestion...

If you give them a call (used skype credit 3cents/min) you can look to speak with Mark.

So, I contacted Sprintex last night regarding price and fuel economy. Here was the response:

"The price should be around the same AU$3000.00 depending on the ecu we use and a few other factors.

On our local car the fuel economy has stayed much the same until*you put your foot into it. I will keep you updated.

Regards
Mark Ambrosius"

I will post any other info or updates I receive.

Great stuff and thanks again!

Just a general point I want to make for anyone skeptical on the fuel economy bit.. on any S/C or Turbo system you will not see fuel economy suffer out of boost. The only parts of the tune that have to change are the maps/cells affected.

Those are going to be the ones above atmospheric pressure, so every single stock fuel and timing table can be kept the same all the way up to the point you start making positive boost pressure.

Oh man, add to the fact the AUD is stronger than the USD, OUCH.

DIY + ECU sounds like it's gonna be a tough DIY.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I've been following this thread ever since a garage in Malaysia started installing the Sprintex SC kit on the Honda City. So this is just to let you know what they're doing.

In Malaysia, a tuning garage called JC Racing has worked together with Sprintex to install the SC kit on the Honda City. The City is actually a model that is based on the latest generation Jazz/Fit. I think the City is only sold in the asian market.

Here is the link to an article about it. It's not very detailed. There's another article in a magazine which has some power figures in it. I'll try and post them when I have the chance. I'm thinking about getting this kit for my City. But I still don't know how much the garage is charging for the kit and installations.

I believe the difference is only a little over a penny on the dollar.

It was about 80 cents US to an Australian dollar when I was there in 1969... Liquor and women were cheap though but cigarettes were 4 times what they sold for at the PX... Being in a grunt company I got mine free but no women or booze.

What is the amount of increase in torque??? Horsepower output is less than half of the story unless you are talking about a full tilt race car.

Exactly.

Even then it's not max horsepower or max torque that you guys should be thinking about.

It's all about power under the curve.

Additionally, the article doesn't specify what pulley (boost), timing or fuel was used.

There is a lot to consider here.

Nobody said you couldn't...

Edit: thought I should mention that you would probably void your warranty on the S/C in that case.

Hey Diamondstarmonsters do you know of any books that I can read or buy to get to your level of knowledge on tuning I've been reading your posts for a while. and while I cant understand some of them I've learned a lot about tuning. I like to think I'm pretty mechanically inclined and have a good knowledge about cars but it stops after the electronics of a car which all of todays cars have lol just wondering thank you.
