Check Engine Light After CAI Install

So, I installed a takeda CAI on my ge8. During install I had the battery disconnected and after installation I reconnected. After I drive for awhile the check engine light will come on and then I will reset the battery to make the light go off only to see it come back on in the future. I end up repeating this process about every 7-10 days. Right now I am currently driving with the check engine light on, which I have never done yet? Is there something I should worry about? It seems to drive fine so far...

No, not normal. Make sure all your sensors are reinstalled and the connectors are clean and plugged in correctly.

I had a DIY intake on and it did the same thing. What should I use to clean it? Also I have un-installed and re-installed about 3 times... keeps happening

I would pick up some CRC Electronic Cleaner and do a quick spray on the MAF sensor to make sure it is clean. I would use a Q-tip to gently and carefully wipe out the connectors.

DO NOT touch the internal wires of the MAF. They will break very easily. Just gently spray them with the electronics cleaner.

Alright thanks, I've had the intake on for maybe 2-3 weeks. I have not run into any problems yet, but I'll clean them this weekend. Thanks for the help.
