GE muffler cross section

I deleted the muffler... replaced with straight pipe (for a tiny fraction of the cost of a J's Ti piece!). While I was at it, I cut the muffler in half to see what the innards look like... take a look:

Wow! Thanks for sharing! This is the type of stuff I like to see. A straight pipe should do wonders after removing that piece. Nice work with the pics.

Could you share the path of the flow as it comes through the inlet? I see ports 'A' and 'B' but hard to decipher the direction of the flow before it leaves the muffler. Does it come in the inlet, through 'A', then 'B', then to the outlet?

Nevermind! After staring at it for about 2 minutes, I got it...somewhat. That is NUTS!

btw the stock muffler weighs about 9#
