Extra maintaine outside of minder

Hello all,

I have a base 2010 fit with 102k miles. I read through all the possible codes but noticed it doesn’t include things like fuel filter, brake fluid, pcv valve, and probably some other things I can’t think of.

how do I know when to change things that are required to change but not on the minder code list?

There's no harm in changing parts early. It's what I do, preventative maintenance. I've replaced plugs, coils, done my valve adjustment, brakes, HVAC fan, ect. Those parts really don't have a set time to be replaced, they just wear out whenever it's time.

Brake fluid should be every 3 years, flush the crap for new stuff. Fuel filter ought to be for the life of the car.

Fuel filter is basically lifetime but its on the fuel sending unit in the tank. I'm not sure how hard disassembly is or if the part is even available by itself. I would say 100000 isn't a bad idea but I made it to 230000 without any problems.
Brake fluid is every 3 years.
Coolant I think is about 10 years 120000 miles then 5 years 60000 after that and my minder has code 5 for it
PCV valve doesn't hurt every 100000 but once again I never did mine if it rattles nicely I leave things alone.
Idle speed at 160000

and more recently if your car is rusty (which it probably isn't in seattle) you should do your half shafts every 6 years or so
