After Market Stereo won't Power On and Power Locks only work when driving

I installed a new aftermarket stereo this weekend (should be easy enough right?) and after I fitted everything into place, and attaching the stereo harness, the stereo wont turn on and now my power locks on my FOB don't work, and my doors will only Lock/Unlock after I am driving for a couple blocks.

- I took the stereo back to the dealer and they tested the stereo - it started up fine

- My new car battery I purchased 3 months ago was at 50% so I am currently charging it.

- I replaced the Key Lock/Radio fuse just to be safe

After a lot of swearing the radio still won't power on and my Power Locks only turn on when I am driving.

Does anyone have any experience in fixing this? Thanks

I bet you've grounded something that shouldn't have been. Did you try a DIY install or something akin to a Crutchfield kit?

I used a stereo harness from Visions.ca

As for the grounds: I grounded the two black grounds together, I had them crimped together and tried to just electrical tape them together too to try and get a signal.

There is a SWC Ground that I left hanging because I don't have any steering wheel controls. (could this be the culprit?)

Thanks for the reply

I think I lost my reply. Oops.

I may have... The only ground cables that I have are paired together. I tried crimping them together and pairing them together with electrical tape.

There is also a SWC Ground but because I don't have steering wheel controls I left it alone in a case.

I bought the unit with a wiring harness from Visions.ca , it seemed pretty straightforward.... so I thought.

Thanks for the reply!
