Shaky Clutch Fork
Shaky Clutch Fork
Hello,
I recently picked up a 2012 Honda Fit base with 65k miles and the manual transmission. I started noticing a faint rapid squeaking sound coming from the engine bay. I narrowed it down to the slave cylinder and clutch fork pivot point so i took it apart and re-greased it with some white lithium grease spray, I also sprayed grease onto the pivot points into the transmission. This fixed the problem for a few minutes, then it came back. Looking at the fork while it's running it looks like the fork is shaking more than what would I consider normal, which is what is causing the rapid squeaking, I've attached a video of it.
I wanted to ask: 1. Is this a normal amount of movement, 2. how can I fix the squeaking, and 3. did I use the incorrect grease?
Edit: I should add that I have no problems with shifting or starting.
