I like your solution - I may make one of those for myself. Where do you get the "axles" that the forks attach to?

The bike was too long, even when the front tire was removed. The rear tire was hitting rear door, and I couldn't get the door closed. I was hoping to use Tall Mode (where rear sear seats are lifted. I had to use Cargo Mode, where rear seats are laid down flat.

You can get them from Performance. I have some in my pickup.

Truck & Spare Tire Mount @ Performance Bicycle
