Yes, that's the 08 Accord horn, though that was a short beep in the vid.

This mod is what I was always planning on for my Fit, but I have no idea about electronics, so I ended up getting TKZ12NO1's recommended FIAMM El Grande horn instead. If I knew that an 08 Accord horn was a simple plug n play affair, I would've jumped on that.

JDM_DOHC_SiR, I found this on Ebay; 2009 Honda Fit Jazz GE8 JDM Factory Bosch Horn Kit 08P80-TF0-0000-90. Here's the link. Is this something you can get? The installation instructions in Japanese - too bad I can’t read them.

Is this any louder than the stock one?

so heres what i did, i bought the OEM horn from the 2009 Honda Accord. now if you decide to do this know that the Accord uses 2 horns. a high pitch and a low pitch. BUY THE LOW PITCH.

install is exactly like the factory horn. physically they look different but hook up is the same. so no need to cut wires, run wires, hook up to the battery or nothing.

here is the part # 38100-STK-A02
I was considering that, but opted to go aftermarket. See if you can post a clip of how it sounds. I'm sure I'm not the only curious one.
A single low pitch, huh? Interesting.
And it was a single lead hookup?
When I saw the small gauge of the single wire to the stock horn in my '09's, I knew I didn't want to tax it with anything larger than the puny horn that was in there, so I had to put a relay in.
Looking forward to the clip.

sorry it takes me so long to post a reply. i work at Honda and dont get out till 7pm. for those of you who asked, YES! IT IS PLUG AND PLAY! install is as easy as replacing the stock one. no need to cut wires! uses same mounting location. be sure to mount it before hitting the horn tho. the 12mm bolt holding it on acts as a ground, so dont hook it up and think it doesnt work (as i did) do the whole install first then honk on!

as for the sound clip. anyway you guys can help me figure out how to post it up on here?

Any chance somebody wants to send me their GE horn for free? I'll pay for shipping, or if you're SoCal local, i'll pick it up

Got my '08 Accord low horn today and installed it. Took some photos - this new horn is ginormous in comparison to the stock horn!

Ok first we remove the top cover and you are greeted with the puny stock horn, also you realize that you have to get that plastic piece loose on one side to get to the horn screw (12 mm). I broke the clip on one side trying to remove it too... but luckily I had spare clips that fit lying around.

Now let's take a look at the new and old horns side by side. The clip is exactly a perfect match so no wiring changes needed. It seems like the stock horn is actually rated louder? But the tone probably makes a difference too.

Now let's put the new horn in. Its a bit of a tight fit - I didn't move the bar and the angle is different, the wire has very little slack, the plastic protection piece for the latch does rub a bit on the new horn, but it all fits in the end.

Definitely do this after you do your air dam grille cause the new horn does stick out, making it harder to wiggle a grille down there. I've done my grille already, so no worries there.

So, which horn did you go with, the 400 db. or 500 db. Accord horn? Seems there's two part numbers floating around this thread, both plug-and-play to our Fits.

Can you post your P.N.? Thanks.

This horn's dimensions appear to be a close match to the OE horn, moreso than the Accord 38100-STK-A02 horn which has more depth.

Do these two horns sound similar, or is the pictured horn more apt to sound like the OE horn by virtue of its overall size and shape.

If the Accord horn is noticeably beefier than the Legend "SDB" horn, then I won't mind the additional girth?

Any thoughts either way?

Can you post a vid on the new horn? Curious as to how the single note horn sounds.

Finally figured out I could capture a short video with my cheapy digital camera...

YouTube - 2009 Honda Fit with '08 Accord Horn

Note this was in a closed garage, might sound a bit echo-y. Didn't want to wake up the neighbors. Sounds like an "angry bee" of a horn to me?

Let me clarify on the part numbers (sorry, slight misinformation bugs me)

STK is the frame code for RDX. However, these horns are probably used on the new 2008 Accord (I'll have to look it up on monday)

SDB is the 03-07 V6 US destination 4 Door Accord.

I'm gonna have to do this mod, as soon as I finish looking up the drawings on Monday. Hopefully I can find a beefy horn with the connector in the Fit orientation.

Aww man!! That sounds TONS louder/better than the stock horn; thanks for posting the youtube clip.

..just got off the HORN with my local stealership and they have an '08 Accord horn in stock. Have it reserved to pick up in a couple hours and will work on putting it in this afternoon.

Thanks again to you and jspec5!

If you want to buy spare plastic clips for that hood latch plastic cover, the PN is...

91518-SM4-003

I broke the clip and used a spare clip I had that was from an auto parts store that fit.
