Agree - but it's pretty easy to add a more ballsy-er horn. I was suprised when I accidentally set off the security horn, while my regular horn was disconnected, sitting on the floor.

Fiam El Grandes sound like, pardon the expression, an American car horn.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

How do you get the black plastic cover that goes over the top of the grille back on? I can't get the stupid black bits to go back in. I tried banging on them pretty good, and also using pliers to squeeze the bottom parts and see if I could slide them back in, but it won't go. I'm trying not to break the thing so I don't want to go too crazy.

edit: the black bits that I'm talking about are these things:

here is another tip that i don't think no one knows.
on that cover you take off there is about seven clips or so.
remember to put them back were you got them from.
because there is two clips in the pile that are different than
the rest. if you take them all out and look at them you'll see.
two of them have different points to them.

The center part needs to be pulled out about 5mm, allowing the four little fingers to squeeze together to fit through the hole in the two parts you are joining. Then, press the center to expand the fingers and lock it in place.

Changed the stock horn with an Accord horn today. Getting the clips off was pretty easy because all you needed was a flat head screwdriver. I didn't put the plastic horn cover (under the first plastic piece you remove) back on because the Accord horn is too big and it wouldn't fit.

It was pretty damn easy and took me about 10 minutes to do.

I put my S2000 Horn I wasn't using due to the fact I have a Mugen Hub!

Sounds nice!

I also replaced the Fit stock horn with a Accord horn immediately. Very easy to do. I have put together a DIY to help anyone who may be thinking of doing this on their Fit.

Good DIY.

Now if only I can figure out which horn I want to install I think I can conquer this.

But for a 2008 horn replacement, I still need to take off the whole front bumper, correct?

Just completed this mod in less than 15 minutes. You can't get much easier than this. Sounds much better.

I ordered an 09 Accord horn on hondapartsnow.com and I was browsing the FAQ and it stated,"Installing any item on another year or model is not recommended, may be dangerous and will void any warranty coverage"

Does anyone know if the warranty is really voided!? I don't think I can live with the wimpy horn that it came with. I'm embarrassed to use it!

Save the original one in case you need to change it back for some reason. Correct me if I'm wrong but techincally, you aren't supposed to change your wheels. This can void the warranty.

I installed the 2009 Accord Horn today and was very happy with the fit and sound. I did find a way to help the "no slack" issue with the wire to the new horn. If you take a mirror and look up at the wire and where it's held to the body you will see electricians tape that can be removed to allow for more slack. I had no issues once this was done.

All I can say is...

Thank goodness for this thread.
I hate the stock horn.

Just ordered my Accord low horn just now!

Good work OP!
