Going to wait until the 15% mark. Then I'm going to be using synthetic. I've always used synthetic for all my cars, so I'm sticking with it.

the reason why you need to wait at least 10k miles before you change it to synthetic is because you need to Let the piston rings seat properly before using synthetic, ~10K miles.

I'm still at 80% with 2800 miles. I will change once the maintenance minder says so. I was specifically told not to change too early with the first oil.

Changing with less than 1000 miles seems like more than just a waste of money... it can possibly harm your break in too.

Sounds about right to me. Your engine wears more during city driving than highway driving.

I am a 100% city driver. Never been on a highway/parkway/freeway in this car yet. I never took my car over 5k rpm's, and I go above 3 VERY VERY rarely. I am not a ****ing lunatic. I'm pretty sure 4600mi and 20% is normal, and yours is jacked up. And yours does not say 85%. Mine has never said ANYTHING 5%

**** it, none of this makes ANY sense whatsoever. If you're at 80% at 2,000mi go ahead and do an oil change at 10k. Just doesn't seem ****ing right at all.

You should hurry up and take that picture before someone here gets out of hand.

I might as well add that I have around 3,700 and I'm at 70% with 90% freeway. I usually drive conservatively but I do occasionally get close to 6k (I gota have some fun ) Anyways looks like I'll be doing my first change around 10k and I will be switching to synthetic. I'll get a pic tonight on my way home also.

that's absolutely insane. Oh well. I'm glad I'm not a freeway driver. City driving is 49837985x more fun lol
